On November 1st, 2012 the Hermetic Hour with host Poke Runyon will present a discussion on the relationship of ancient Canaanite mythology to Solomonic ceremonial magick. We will begin by establishing the legendary Biblical background of Solomon the Wizard King and his mystical powers, his relations with Hiram of Tyre, the Queen of Sheba, and his building of a temple to the Goddess Astarte. We'll mention the Canaanite priest king Melchizedek who anointed Abraham long before Moses. We will mention the Masonic legend in this context, and how Solomon united the Jews and the Canaanites to build his Great Temple. We will cover the Ra- Shamra/Ugarit Canaanite texts, their connection to the Holy Grail legend, and our own reconstruction of ancient Canaanite seasonal ceremonies. Then, the following week we will present the conclusion of our reconstructed Canaanite legend: "Prince Aqhat and the Magick Bow." -- So, tune in and get the inside story on King Solomon's magical religion.
Mythology is always a delicate subject in Christian circles. Obviously we should not believe in myths, but what about enjoying a good mythical book or movie? Should an obedient Christian teach their children basic myth of the different cultures? Should obedient Christians allow others such as public schools to teach mythology to our children? Tune in to this interesting broadcast to see how the Lord inspires our host to address these and other important issues
Tonight on Down the Rabbit Hole- Could the Eleusinian Mysteries and their initiation rituals be the missing link in setting humanity free from the ego and ultimately self destruction? Tonight on Down the Rabbit Hole we will be discussing in detail the significance of Greek Mythology and how it relates to us now living in today's society and systems. This episode is especially for you if you are seeking freedom from the constraints of fear, self sabotage, and doubt. Perfect for Those open to allow transformation within themselves to reach their highest potential and live a self actualized life beyond their wildest dreams! Tune in tonight as we take you Down The Rabbit Hole
Opening tonight's show, we have Prs. Cathy Pagano, offering the Cosmic Story for October....learn what the stars, planets, sun and moon have in store for us for the next several weeks.
Then, to kick off the Feminist Fairy Tale and Goddess Mythology Trilogy,....Inspired by the movie Malificient, tonight is Part 1 of Voices of the Sacred Feminine's Feminist Fairy Tale & Goddess Mythology three-bie. Tonight our guest interviewee is Charlene Spretnak discussing some of the Pre-Olympian Goddess Myths from her book Lost Goddesses of Early Greece. No doubt Charlene's books are in your personal library. We'll discuss the importance of feminist fairy tales and Goddess mythology, how so many have lost sight of what they teach us and how they're an alternative to the values of our patriarchal world. In previous weeks we've discussed giving ourselves permission to reinterpret, redefine, reimagine, and reclaim our own stories rather than accept as normal or healthy the collective patriarchal beliefs, attitudes and practices that shackle us, particularly women, in our patriarchal world.
Next week, returning to the show is foremother Barbara Walker, discussing Feminist Fairy Tales, the title of one of her older books, as well as her latest, Belief and Unbelief, being released in November by Humanist Press. Then in Week 3, I chat with Lenny Schneir, the partner of the late and beloved Foremother, Merlin Stone, author of the famous book inspiring so many of us - When God Was a Woman as well as Ancient Mirrors of Womanhood.

For most of the Free World, Christmas is a holiday season celebrated more for its shopping, overeating and gift giving than the actual religious significance it once contained.
The season is represented by silver and gold adorned trees, as well as colorful twinkling lights spilling over homes, churches and businesses.
Family and friends exchange gifts, kiss under mistletoe, burn Yule logs and yet, sadly, most people have no idea where the Christmas holiday traditions come from, but they swear that it is all about Jesus.
The Christmas holiday as we know it is really an aggregation of a bunch of mythology and customs that were actually around before the birth of Jesus. And, the actual birth of Jesus has been placed somewhere around September.
Tune in to The Bridge Radio on Sunday as we discuss the Christmas traditions and how they became merged with Christian traditions.
Discuss The Roots of Christmas & Jesus with Host Darryl James and Co-Hosts, Tracy Powell, Marcus Legall III, Dr. John Hamilton & DJ Gates on one of the smartest radio shows on the Internet--The Bridge Radio.

Hostess Lisa Winton and Swami Jayananda will be discussing the concept of stress as a "cramp in consciousness" and how the initiation of the progressive cycle in development can offer solution to this common problem. They will explain the association between matter and mind; as the simple internalization between symbols and feelings. We can't have a feeling without a thought-- form follows function; how we think is what we become. They will talk about the application of Kriya Yoga to empower an individual to be able to make clear distinctions between what is imagined and what is real. They will touch on the development of the lower mind as a tool and guide for effective living. Join the Kriya Yoga Spiritual Advance as they focus on renewal and transformation with the Divine.
