DC Legends of Tomorrow Talk Podcast #2 - S 1 Ep 1 PILOT

    in Television

"In the year 2166, the immortal villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) is on the verge of his final victory - total chaos and the utter destruction of humanity. As the world crumbles, the Time Master Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) takes matters into his own hands; he travels 150 years into the past to assemble a carefully selected team of heroes and rogues to stop him.

Hunter has chosen what seems like an ill-matched group: billionaire inventor Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as the Atom; Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), the White Canary, a trained assassin; Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson (Franz Drameh), who together form the meta-human Firestorm; Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller), known as Captain Cold, and his partner Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell), AKA Heat Wave, a pair of career criminals; and Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renée) and Carter Hall (Falk Hentschel) AKA Hawkgirl and Hawkman.

Together this unlikely group will attempt to stop one of the most formidable villains of all time, while they must learn how to not only be a team, but heroes as well."

    Omar Figueroa-Antonio DeMarco Review

    in Sports

Omar Figueroa and Antonio DeMarco closed out the PBC on NBC year with a bang, delivering a closely fought action fight in front of enthusiastic fans at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Figueroa came out semi-aggressive but tried being more selective in spots. Figueroa looked huge, but DeMarco was taking his shots very well in the first few rounds. However, it was Figueroa’s size that was helping him keep DeMarco right where he wanted him, with his back against the ropes.

When Figueroa was being smart, he was also leaving himself open, when he was aggressive, and a bit sloppy is when he seemed to have the most success.

Switching style to southpaw for a moment and then quickly back to orthodox, Figueroa was able to keep the fight exactly where he wanted it – in the phone booth. DeMarco was able to get some distance between him and Omar for a bit, but he never did anything with that time. DeMarco refused to move and allowed himself to get pinned right back against the ropes.

Is the Wellness Movement Ready For Magic?

    in Health

What does wellness and magic have to do with each other?  Well today at TWU radio, we will surely find out!  Michael Grandinetti is not your ordinary magician.  Michael has made a name for himself around the world as an extremely talented and innovative illusionist and entertainer.

He has been featured on NBC's "The World's Most Dangerous Magic" television special, The CW's "Masters of Illusion" series, FOX's "Bones" series, Pop Network's "Don't Blink", "Entertainment Tonight", "Access Hollywood", "SportsCenter", "NBA on TNT", "New York Today", "FOX & Friends", and "The Bold and the Beautiful".  Michael was recently featured on the cover of TV Times magazine, released in newspapers across the country and Entertainment Weekly named Michael as a great magician who can truly communicate with a TV audience?.

Michael has also pioneered live magic in one of the most challenging environments imaginable, major-league football stadiums, baseball stadiums, and basketball arenas for NFL and NBA halftime shows and large-scale sporting event shows.  For example, at Bank of America Stadium, Michael caused people to appear, disappear, shrink in size, and levitate above the 50 yard line, while 70,000 people witnessed the magic with a 360 degree view and at Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium, Michael performed one of the largest live interactive illusions in history when he read the minds of all 45,000 people in the stadium at the same time.  Michael's performance for the Chicago Bulls NBA playoff game at United Center in Chicago even caused commentators Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley to comment in amazement during the live national broadcast on TNT.
