The Movie Geeks speak with acclaimed actor Pierce Brosnan (Tomorrow Never Dies, The Thomas Crown Affair) about his latest film Love Is All You Need, which opens in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, May 3. For more information on the film, visit the official website here.
Plus, the directors of two star-studded films currently in theaters: Dante Ariola, whose film Arthur Newman stars Oscar-winner Colin Firth and Emily Blunt, and Justin Zackham, the writer-director of The Big Wedding featuring Oscar winners Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon and Robin Williams.
Plus, conversations on the latest movie news and film releases.
Despite playing one of the world’s most famous lotharios in four smash-hit flicks, Pierce Brosnan believes in fidelity with all his heart. When Wedding Day Radio host Robin Milling asks the Irish James Bond if he feels guilty about having intense relationships with women on the big screen while Keely Shaye Smith, his wife of 11 years, peers on, he replies: “She calls it legal cheating. She said this at a dinner party one night and I just about choked on my shrimp! I’m a lucky guy.” Then Pierce—whose new flick, All You Need Is Love, tells the story of a hairdresser who travels to Italy for her daughter’s wedding and falls for an angry widower—turns serious. “It’s just a great job that I have, to be able to play out the romance of life, the sexuality of life,” he says. “However, if I were to go down every avenue, I wouldn’t be here. I’m not very good at such a life. I want to have my cake and eat it. I like to have the stability of one woman.”

There’s been a lot of press on Nigella Lawson, the “choking incident” lunch (captured by the tabloid photographer) with her husband, Charles Saatchi. Many of her fans are weighing in about how she should divorce (which was decreed July 31 after 10 years of marriage), or become an advocate for spousal abuse, or, or… news flash: Fans - you don’t know her. You may think you know her, but most of you have never met her in person.
Interestingly, her fans have had more press about this situation than her close friends. Possibly because her true friends are keeping it zipped.
Real Friends Don't Talk Her friends have offered their support of Nigella, including her good buddy, and former James Bond actor, Pierce Brosnan. And, other friends, including Jemima Khan have been supporting her and not announcing tidbits about their support to the press.
Working in Hollywood While a producer in Hollywood I worked with a number of celebrities and during one show some stars discussed what happens when a stranger approaches them for a hug. I’ll put that video up on my site www.superfriendgroups.com about one show we produce on this very topic.
How weird they feel that a stranger has such access to your life and offers opinions when they haven’t met you. Although celebrities want to embrace their popularity some fans cross a line.
I was working around the corner on Beverly Boulevard when actress Rebecca Schaeffer, My Sister Sam, was murdered by a crazed fan.
Public Personas and Characters vs. Real People If you’re not a friend with a person, and only see them through the media, you’re a fan. Personalities and celebrities truly adore their fans, but until you’ve spent face-to-face time with these folk your a fan... know your boundaries.
Want to get everything you want? (Well, just about everything…) Tune into Your Big Life, every Saturday at 10 am on Universal Energy Radio!
