Power of Perception healers with Abbeygale Quinn

    in Spirituality

Abbeygale Quinn is a psychic medium and sidereal astrologer from Michigan, with over 17 years of professional experience. As a nondenominational minister, she has been helping people from around the world through spiritual counseling, psychic and astrology readings, paranormal investigations, and psychic development instruction.

Abbeygale’s psychic abilities developed early. While spirit communication was easy enough, her ability to read psychic energy was even more pronounced. Not only could she see and feel the souls of the departed, she could also see and feel the thoughts, emotions, and experiences of the living. Difficulties in early life due to intense psychic experience drove Abbeygale to study metaphysics and paranormal phenomena.

Early in her professional career, Abbeygale realized many of the energies she was sensing in her clients were celestial in nature. The ability to see and feel the cosmic influences in people’s lives psychically made the subsequent study of astrology a natural choice.

As a seeker of the truth, Abbeygale was drawn to astrology’s ancient origins. Her research into Mesopotamian astronomy has led her, along with a growing number of western astrologers, to adopt the sidereal zodiac in favor of the tropical, as the foundation of her work.

Despite her love and appreciation for ancient astrology, Abbeygale is firm believer in modern innovation. She is currently working on what she believes will be a ground-breaking book that will identify the true source of all accurate astrological predictions.

As a practicing Taoist, Abbeygale is a strong proponent of living a simple and natural lifestyle. A long-time practitioner of martial arts and yoga, she prefers to spend her free time engaging in fitness.

Carl Siciliano of The Ali Forney Center

    in LGBT

Carl Siciliano, founder and executive director of The Ali Forney Center, talks to Randy about the current #HarlemNoHate Campaign which aims to raise funds to help the Center purchase a church in Harlem to expand it's services for homeless LGBT youth.

The poetic irony is that the pastor of the church, Rev. James Manning, has spent years spewing vitriolic hate speech towards the LGBT community in Harlem.

Pastor Manning is notorious for signage at the church with messages such as “Jesus would stone homos” and that all supporters of LGBT people should be cursed with cancer, HIV, madness, and eternal damnation.

"The biggest reason our youths are driven from their homes is because of homophobic and transphobic religious beliefs of their parents. If we are able to obtain the space it would truly be a triumph of love over hatred," says Siciliano.

The church is being put up for auction due to unpaid bills and tax liens on February 24th. The goal of the #HarlemNoHate campaign is to purchase the church and make what was once a place that put religious-based hate on broad display, and turn it into a safe haven for young LGBT.

The Ali Forney Center is the largest and most comprehensive organization in the nation dedicated to housing LGBT youth. AFC serves youth aged 16-24, and provides emergency and transitional housing, street outreach, a drop-in center, medical and mental health treatment, a vocational/educational program, and a counseling project for the families of LGBT youth.

Listen as we talk about the difficulties homeless LGBT youth face and how you can help.

"Making A Radical Life Work in A Radical World" #577-578

    in Spirituality

Despite the difficulties we experience in our every day lives, there is excellent direction on what to do and how to do it from a variety of sources.  If you are attentive, you can even receive wisdom and insight from the TV series, "Downton Abbey."  I did, even though some of it revolved around what direcion not to take and how not to do it!

"Downton Abbey" takes place in the early twentieth century and continues for several generations.  This was a time of transition that morphs into a transformation of people, culture, economics, and, well, most everything else.  Many called the result a radical new world.  It wasn't easy for world passengers who lived during those times and it hasn't been easy since.  I guess it has not been easy for people in most any era of world history, so, why should it be different now. Well, it isn't.

But I didn't live there and no one in that era was in my center of influence.  I'm here and my interest is presenting life-time strategies for moving through the chaos that the world places in our path.  Interested?  I am!  That's why I do this call and this series will give specific direction--I promise.

Vision And The Black Community: From Woodson to Allen To Tuitt

    in Culture

Adversity has always been the resilient spark that ignites the courage and tenacity of Black people. Through the darkest days of American history, the African American spirit always rises from the ashes of hate, discrimination, and most recently rising levels of micro-inequities.

The stories of personal achievement overcoming problems show the true merit of Black people and give us the hope and promise to move forward in spite of our difficulties .  On today’s show we’ll capture that spirit by telling the stories of three great Americans both past and present.

Dr. Carter G. Woodson.  Bishop Richard Allen. And Mary Tuitt.  Woodson was the founder of Black History Month.  Allen was the founder of the AME Church.  And Tuitt is a modern day Navy veteran turned public servant and community activist.

Three different individuals from three different era.  But all representing the best of the best in the Black community.
