Breastfeeding in public has been a hot topic in the birthing and parenting worlds. Often breastfeeding in public is treated as taboo and breastfeeding mothers may be asked to leave stores or businesses. When did breastfeeding your baby become taboo or controversial? Does the lack of acceptance of public breastfeeding affect breastfeeding rates? According to the CDC, less than 80% of babies are ever breastfed, with rates dropping to less than 50% by age 6 months. In many parts of the world, breastfeeding rates are much higher and public breastfeeding is widely accepted--why not here in the U.S.? What can we do to normalize breastfeeding so that woman are free to breastfeed their babies whenever and whereever they need to? What can we do to promote the diversity of breastfeeding, whether it be culturally or even in the ways women choose to breastfeed (on the breast, pumping, tandem, etc.)?
Vaness Simmons, photographer and founder of the Normalize Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign is on the show tonight to discuss how she's out to postively impact breastfeeding in the United States and what you can do to help. Find out more at http://normalizebreastfeeding.org/.

Today on The Boochcast, Booch talks about the technical difficulties during yesterday's LIVE edition of the show, an asshole customer he dealt with at work, Hanging out at Hooters with his comedian friends, Desmond calls in to talk about Chris Daughtry's new pop song, plays Livin La Vida Loca on Guitar, and they both recap Monday Night RAW.
Have you ever thought that you were doing things properly and yet, there was something missing? there just seems to be more problems than I should be experiencing and all too few solutions! This thought can be quite frightening; even threatening in some respects.
The truth is, however, that all too frequently, a sense of having problems seems to be with us on and off throughout our lives. It's like we're in a problem, just getting out of a problem, or going into one. Many times, the experience leaves us feeling empty, lost, maybe without hope, a sense of failure. I don't need to mention what these difficulties are; we know; we experience them.
Today's message looks at how you and I can experience problems even if we consider ourselves believers. We will review just a little to get the proper introduction, then we will begin an emphasis on just how the Cross of Jesus Christ fits into the sense of victory that we will or will not expierience in life.

Last week, we attempted to do this show but had a number of technical difficulties. Whoever said God has a sense of humor hit it on the nail. Imagine the irony! Well, we're going to try again this week so join us.
It's the stuff of sci-fi -- when man and machine combine so perfectly it creates a whole new being - a cybernetic organism where the artificial implants and the natural impulses fight for dominance. This is when speculative fiction really comes to play as we express ideas and thought about this unique quality of man's intelligence and the machines we create to serve us.
In today's world, we see an increasing dependence on technology and machinery to make our lives easier, our work faster, our interactions more spontaneous, and increase the quality of our lives. From pacemakers, to prosthetic limbs, and chips to be implanted in us to track us, one has to wonder how wide is the divide between man and machine?
Will this dependence affect our free will? Can we eventually 'turn off' the sectors in our brain to stop us from making bad choices? If we want our children to have certain color eyes, we can manipulate the genes to do that and come with the child of our design. With all these possibilities, how will it affect our thoughts on faith, morals, and values? Will we be overridden by the machine someday and...”sin no more?”

Okay, not an entire week. Consider this replay of what was supposed to have been the April 26th, 2014 podcast of American Daily Review to be a prologue, seeing as how the opening monologue reflects both my general and specific mood at the moment. 310 days ago my ire gushed forth from the frustration of "on the road" technical difficulties and their belittlement by my Constitution Radio on-air colleagues, which is why the date of this particular podcast shows up on the ADR showpage as April 27th. As to what's behind the current disgruntlement, let's just say that one of the reasons hasn't changed in the past 310 days, or the 241 days the preceded it, and the other helps explain the on-air schedule for the rest of the week.
Live podcasts will resume Tuesday, March 10th.
