    Role Models: Eleanor Roosevelt

    in Entertainment

What is a Role Model? Seems like an easy answer -- someone that inspires you. But there may be more permutations than that, so we thought we'd explore it a little more deeply, starting off with perhaps the mother of all role models, Eleanor Roosevelt. I met Shannon Butler when she gave me a tour of Val-Kill, Mrs. Roosevelt's private home. I was inspired by Shannon's enthusiam, knowledge & apparent joy in imparting it. That gives us a glimpse into what a role model can do.

Shannon graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in history and is pursuing that further at University at Albany. She has worked on all that while working as a National Park Ranger! She calls herself all all-American Hudson Valley girl.

Are Women Excused From the Role of Breadwinner in Relshps?

    in Lifestyle

In our society, there seem to be an unwritten law which states that " a woman should never be expected to play the role of 'Breadwinner' in a relationship - especially so in a marriage - if a man happens to be participating in that relationship or marriage also." It seems as if it is always 'fine and dandy' if he is taking care of her, but the opposite poses a major problem from all perspectives.
Join Nalagy and Jahwie this week as we take a closer look at the validity of this on-going double standard, and its direct effect on relationships and marriages. Be there!

The Role of Woman - Angela Freeman

    in Spirituality

Join KM of ANU ASAFO as she discusses the role of WOMBmyn in family with her guest, author Angela Freeman.

The ANU spiritual Order is a way of learning that allows the student to place themselves at the center of the learning experiences as opposed to memorizing rituals, names, and protocol that serve little when it comes down to reality reconstruction.

This class series is a hardcore spiritual initiation into the deeper truths of indigenous metaphysics and natural power.
