Our guests this morning are Kris D’Errico from Bella Beach and Laura Mandracchia from the Cake Bake Shop.
Kris Mackerer D'Errico is a 38-year resident of Manhattan Beach. A graduate of Robinson Elementary, Center Middle School and Mira Costa High School, she received her degrees in Communications and Theater from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
In 2011, Chef Laura Mandracchia became the owner of Cake Bakeshop. Laura comes from a long line of bakers as both her grandmother and great grandmother were bakers in Denmark. Her greatest culinary influence and hero is her Mormor (mother’s mother in Danish). Whether they were making something as simple as coffee and pastry, going to the Farmers Market or the “olive oil guy” in Napa, food was always there. She taught Laura that sometimes you need “just a little bit - not too much “ when adding that special ingredient.
We’re all guilty of last minute shopping and let’s be honest, we all enjoy the rush, right? Well, this morning, our experts are going to offer some great and original gift ideas that are sure to make everybody’s holiday extra merry and bright.

Happy holidays to everyone out there and boxing is giving its gift this weekend with a pair of events televised on HBO and Showtime that will surely have boxing fans happy for the upcoming holidays. For this article I’ll be going over the Golden Boy Card that involves such names as Keith Thurman, Abner Mares, Victor Ortiz, and both Charlo brothers that will be headlined by Amir “King” Khan squaring off against Devon Alexander “The Great.”
Amir Khan (29-3 with 19 KOs) is a fast-handed boxer who is born and very well followed in the UK. He has fought and defeated fighters such as Marco Antonio Barea, Paulie Malignaggi, Chino Maidana, and Zab Judah. However, everything hasn’t been prefect for Khan, sustaining losses from Lamont Peterson, Danny Garcia, and of course his 1st career loss, a 1st round KO to Breidis Prescott in the UK 6 years ago.
Devon Alexander (26-2 with 14 KOs) also has a pretty darn good resume. He’s defeated fighters such as Junior Witter, Juan Urango, Randall Bailey, a controversial win against Lucas Matthysee, and he also holds wins over Andriy Kotelnik and Chino Maidana. His losses have come to the likes of Timothy Bradley and Shawn Porter. He’s more of a technical fighter with not much power, but he also is a southpaw, which could complicate the rhythm of this fight.
Timothy Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) is one of the most determined fighters in the sport of boxing. He has shown the ability to go toe to toe with the very dangerous Ruslan Provodkinov, and outbox the very crafty Juan Manuel Marquez. Coming off a loss against Manny Pacquiao he wants to rebound with a victory against the very underrated and dangerous Diego Chaves (23-2, 19 KOs).
Chaves is a typical power punching aggressive fighter from Argentina with good boxing skills. Both fighters are looking to make a statement this Saturday night in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Tonight at 9PM ET/6PM PT, FightSaga Radio Network presents a special Amir Khan vs. Devon Alexander edition of "The Sweet Science with James Gogue"!!
The three decade fight trainer will outline strategies for both competing fighters in this Saturday night's main event from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two former Junior Welterweight Champions have much to gain and even more to lose in this highly impactful 147 pound meeting. The scheduled twelve round contest is slated to be aried on Showtime Sports.
On the same evening, just down the Vegas strip, former two division world titlist Timothy Bradley will take on the hard punching Diego Chavez of Argentina. Gogue will examine potential fight plans for both Top Rank fighters as well, which will be featured in the main event on HBO World Championship Boxing.
As a bonus, Professor Gogue will also give fight fans a special big fight preview of a potential and seemingly inevitable clash between WBA/IBO Middleweight Champ Gennady Golovkin and 160 pound contender David Lemieux of Canada. The two most feared punchers in the division are ostensibly on a collision course for 2015.
The expert trainer will breakdown all three match-ups on this special edition of "The Sweet Science with James Gogue", exclusively on the FightSaga Radio Network!!
DON'T TAKE SAND TO THE BEACH:
Confirm my schedule when you are going on vacation and you already have plans but your mate has other plans and already assume that the first day of vacation you will be spending it with them, "wrong answer" Devin had been working two jobs for a while and his vacation had just started; Dena his girlfriend had made plans for them to spend the whole day together, but Devin had other plans.
He did not want to let Dena down, but he had made plans to attend a summer beach party with Chuck and Antonio, his buddies. So off to the beach party he went, drinking and having a great time, a much needed great time; meanwhile Dena showed up and asked why did he break their plans and she wanted to stay at the party with him. Devin told her she needed to go home because he was with his boys and besides you don’t bring sand to the beach. This instantly upset Dena who begin to cry and threaten to not be around when he returned from the party.
Should Devin had let Dena stay or was he right for sending her away? Let's discuss this very real situation on COCKTAIL CONVERSATIONS with The Controversial Counselor.
The show will begin with Recap from an extremely busy and contversial boxing weekend featuring fights on HBO and Showtime. Will Debate the Bradley vs Chaves & Herrera vs Benavidez scorecards. Plus, we Preview what the future holds for Amir Khan, Timothy Bradley, Keith Thurman, Mauricio Herrera, & Andy Lee. Other Topics For Discussion- Mayweather finally speaks out and both trade blows on social media. -Leo Santa Cruz added to the Jan. 17 undercard for Stiverne vs Wilder. -Compare HBO & Showtime Ratings from last Saturday. -Preview weekend fight schedule. A star-studded weekend of boxing delivered little in the way of actual oomph, unfortunately. There weren't many thrills or spills, but plenty of chills. But did you expect us to say anything different anyway? From ESPN's "Night of Champions" that featured Antonio Tarver and Austin Trout, to a ho-hum ShoBox between Erislandy Lara and Ishe Smith, to a mediocre Showtime card (surprised?) headlined by Amir Khan vs Devon Alexander dueling with a good-but-depressing HBO card across the street, topped by Tim Bradley vs Diego Chaves, we got it all, baby. James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor will help you relive every fight, no prisoners taken. Thanks for tuning in!
