Special Guests: Lars Nielsen, Builder, Bonneville Salt Flats Competitor
For every motorcycle and car enthusiast, the Bonneville Salt Flats hold a special place near and dear to our hearts. The Salt Flats are the home of speed; every year, motorheads from all over the world travel to the state of Utah in an attempt to push their machines and themselves to the limit. Speed is the name of the game, and some of the most incredible pieces of engineering in the world are in attendance to play that game. This week on Classic Chrome, be sure to tune in as we interview our first international guest. Joining us this week from Denmark is Mr. Lars Nielsen, who is in the process of building what is undoubtedly going to be the world’s fastest Nimbus motorcycle. Nimbus motorcycles were produced by the Danish firm Fisker and Nielsen from 1919 until 1960. These machines were powered by a 749cc, single overhead cam, inline four cylinder engine that produced between 18-22 horsepower, hooked up to a three speed transmission with shaft final drive. A stock Nimbus is capable of cruising at 55 mph with a short top speed burst of 75 mph; Lars is in the process of building a rip-roaring example which he will be campaigning at Bonneville this year. Lars’ Nimbus is set into a custom, low-slung frame and the motor comes complete with a supercharger. No matter how fast his machine goes, it will likely become the fastest example of the Danish four cylinder in the world.
The countddown is nearing its end and this weeks show we preview Utah State's 2015 season. The Aggies were pegged second in the Mountain Division by the media, Chuckie Keeton was named as the first quarterback and the defensive player of the year went to Kyler Fackrell.
Utah State did get some bad news with three contributors out for the first three games in senior wide receiver Hunter Sharp, sophomore offensive lineman Tyshon Mosley and senior cornerback Bryant Hayes. Then include the loss of wide receiver/returner JoJo Natson and the start to the 2015 season could be rocky.
Tyler Hayward and Ryan McCumber discuss the much anticipated debut of Jim Harbaugh as he leads his Michigan Wolverines against the Utah Utes.
Featured Guests: Rowdy Akers and AJ Garcia

This program will give examples of how best to teach the Mormon People from the Book of Mormon with the goal of demonstrating that the Book of Mormon does not support or teach the pillars of faith found in the Mormon Church which are: Baptism for the Dead, Celestial/Eternal Marriage or Eternal Families, God was once a Man, Man can become a God, There are many Gods, God has a body of Flesh and Bones, The Father and the Son are Separate Beings, Terrestrial Kingdom – Telestial Kingdom – Celestial Kingdom, Polygamy is of God, Polyandry is of God, Lying is of God, Premortal Life or Pre-Existence with God, Heavenly Mother, Temple Covenants for the Living or the Dead. We wish the entire world could have a copy of the Book of Mormon, for within the pages of that fiction is the very destruction of the Mormon Faith. List of BOM Scriptures that disagree with Mormon Doctrine taught today:1 Nephi 13:24-26; Mormon Bible Dictionary, Look up Bible/ go to Dead Sea Scrolls; 1 Nephi 15:35; 2 Nephi 27:23 ; 2 Nephi 31: 21; Mosiah 15:1-5; Alma 11:26 – 31; Alma 18:26-28; The Book of Alma 22:9-11; Alma 34:32-35; 3 Nephi 11:27; Mormon 7:7; Mormon 9:9; Moroni 8:18 Note: This is a Live Call-in Show on KUTR 820 AM and 95.3 FM Utah radio called “Mainstream Mormonism” by Bishop Lee Baker. Are you annoyed with Drivers that focus more on their CELL PHONES than ON THE ROAD? Do you think that Drivers should recieve STIFFER Penalties when cell phone usage results in injury/ fatality? Unfortunately ONE text message/phone call can be the difference between Life & Death. Many people, including Law Enforcement, continue to violate the Cell Phone laws on a daily basis. Below are several statistics about "Driver Distractions" and the effect that it has on others. After reading the entirety of the facts listed below, YOU be the Judge.
The United States Department of Transportation notes that cell phones are involved in 1.6 million auto crashes each year that cause a half million injuries and take 6,000 lives.

During any point of the day, 11% of drivers are talking on their cell phones, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
A study from the University of Utah indicated that the reaction time of a teen driver using a cell phone is the same as that of a 70-year-old driver who is not using a cell phone.
According to the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, texting while driving is six times more likely to cause an auto crash than driving when intoxicated.

ON THE SECOND HALF OF THE SHOW SHANNON BOOK WITH THE BAND: VETTED
Born and raised in the small town of Hazel Green, KY, Petty Officer First Class Shannon Book grew up with a great appreciation of music and has expressed that appreciation both vocally and by playing various musical instruments throughout his life.
After returning home from his 2nd deployment, Shannon served as an instructor at the Field Medical Training Battalion at Camp Johnson, NC, and worked to insure that his students could perform their jobs under the pressures of combat.
Recently retired from the United States Navy due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), he is working on a complete collection of original songs reflecting his time in combat, his injuries (both physical and emotional), and living with the aftermath of war. Shannon hopes his music will help to educate military families and civilians, as well as help to heal those that have shared in some of his experiences.
Shannon joined with Redcon 1 Music Group to be a part of the force to help educate our people about the troubles faced by war fighters and their families.
Shannon is now the lead vocalist and rhythm guitar player for Vetted. The band once called Warrior Spirit. He is the Lead Vocalist to the First Nationaly Recognized Wounded Warrior Band.
The Dungeon Crawlers Team welcomes to the show Thomas Beckett who will be talking about Night of Ashes. Night of Ashes is a Theatrical Prequel to Hell's Rebels, the current Pathfinder Adventure Path from Paizo Publishing which takes place during the events immediately preceding In Hell's Bright Shadow, the first adventure in Hell's Rebels. Working with the Paizo team, we are using NPCs, locations and plot points from the Adventure Path to recreate the traumatic events leading up to Barzillai Thrune's take over of the city of Kintargo.
The show centers on a young Hellknight who is conflicted between her commitment to the Law and her commitment to her City. When Grand Inquisitor Thrune orders her companion killed and an entire Opera Company arrested alongside a young Baron, she is forced to keep the actors from further harm and lead them to safety. The survival of this small band intermingle with the machinations of the arch villain of the Adventure Path.
The show will be as audience interactive as possible and feature steel on steel fight choreography by an award-winning local fight choreographer.
The Kickstarter launches 8/27/2015
Then the Dungeon Crawlers Team will wrap up the show with the Ghostbusters of Salt Lake.
The Ghostbusters of Salt Lake, organized in 2007, are Utah's premier professional paranormal investigators and eliminators.
You're likely to run into the GB's of SLC at screenings, comic and sci/fi conventions, costume parties, and charity events.
