This week our topic is language.
We want to set the stage today with the discussion of all types language. We hear about the language of love. We know about the hundreds of languages spoken in all parts of the world. Why is language so important to healing our bodies?
Have you wondered what is the Emotion or Body code? One of the I Love my Body Diet Program directors and leaders Sarah Joyce Michel will be sharing an overview of these powerful and popular practices. She is taking volunteers to show how it works right here and now.
A Certified Emotion and Body Code Practitioner. Energetic healing techniques that eliminate emotional energy resulting from stressful or traumatic events in our lives. Most of us believe we have moved on and put the past in the past. Yet more often the negative emotions and thoughts we experience when in the midst of difficult situations remain with us, buried within our subconscious creating imbalances in our body. Although we can’t see them, they are real and can interfere with our happiness, our success and our health. Trapped emotions and thoughts often manifest as physical pain. They can be the source of depression, anxiety, block us from experiencing love and joy in our lives. The Emotion and Body Code use applied kinesiology, also known as muscle testing, to identity these negative energies. We then release the energy via the Governing Meridian or main energy channel of the body. http://sarah-joyce-michel.branded.me/
What is keeping us from one another. Many may say its religion and cultures.
But the reality is that both are meant to give a language to learn from. They create structure and community. When any religion or culture are not foundationally centered in love it can cause much confusion and fear.
Lets talk about the culture of food, exercise, and diet. The religions we live and our experiences.
We will be talking about love and its ability to transcend all of our traditions and beliefs to create greater connection with self and others.

M’Hogany is a singer, songwriter, arranger, and former US Soldier. As a child, she was teased for her dark skin complexion. Her mother soothed her by telling her she was not black, she was mahogany—thus the namesake was born. Between the ages of 8 and 12, she began reciting original poems, but never wrote anything down. She was approached to have her poetry published, but her mother declined the offer. Two weeks prior to her grandmother’s death, M’Hogany had a vision to dedicate her completed novel to her. In the wake of her passing, she decided to incorporate her grandmother’s legacy into her writing. Her grandmother was not only the first lady of her church, but she was the head musician. “I had to continue on this journey my granny knew I started. I was named after her because I looked like her, so I feel I have to let her legacy live through me,” M'Hogany said. M’Hogany has also contributed to the Literary Lounge magazine created by Tracie Holmes. “I write the stories that life sings,” M'Hogany said.

On this episode I'll be discussing society’s obsession with body image and body shaming. We see it in the media on awards shows or on shows like the fashion police. We may overhear someone on the street make comments about what the next woman may or may not be wearing. We see it in the comments section of social media websites like Facebook and Instagram. We see it everywhere. We have become a society that has become comfortable critiquing and criticizing other women. Whether one is curvy or slim, fashionista or not, it seems like somebody always has something to say.
