In this broadcast as your host, J.R. Henry, I will introduce you the listeners and participants to the deep premise of what my view of what is black folks business. We have heard much talk relating to the black condition. Now I want to open up discussion as to what is really happening in the black community and just what is the nature of black folks business. Listen and let's talk, after all my black brothers and sisters, it is your business.
I'm going to open up a preview to this subject of economic empowerment in the black community. Following the preview I will be interviewing business owners, community based organization directors and Church leaders. We are priming the pump getting ready for the documntary entitled, " Black Dollar: Economic Empowerment In The Black Community"
Hosted by dark-skinned free-thinker Vincent E Brown, this show discusses a myriad of issues from the political, moral, and religious. Of course, every now and then a bit of controversy is liable to show up at any time, so tune in and listen to a host who is black, Christian, and conservative.
Your Host Ekowa began writing this essay in response a young woman who said to me: "Black folks were blessed to come to America as slaves and God brought us here so we would find Jesus and Christianity." Mind you ,this was an intelligent albeit naive Europeanized , but she was not the first to come up with this silly notion. I’d heard this tired message all my religious life, from the pulpits, churches, and halls all over the country. Around Black History month, when we have some semblance of the full capacity of a united cause, and a brief lesson in a portion of our history is told, we get a bucket of cold chilly "We weren’t nothin’ before we came to AMERICA" or "We were always heathens, that’s why God allowed the white-man to enslave us and bring us here…now ain’t we blessed’! Each time anyone said this, I became incensed. The final straw was her comments. I decided to dedicate this essay to her and all of our people who are still in the glare of blinding ignorance. I say to all...

This week on The Drip, we will be covering two topics very closely associated with the African-American race: Polling and Relationships.
African American people are seldomly polled in our society. Our host tackles why this is a growing problem.
Also, what are you your feelings as an African-American in America? Are you really better off? Everyone loves black men and women, but why can't they get along with each other?
If you want to be polled or participate in our discussion, please call in!
Finally, the Black Business Man self realizes, and accepts the mantle from a group of our entrepreuneurial ancestors here in America. Oklahoma in the late 1800's gives yet another bittersweet slice of history: a thriving town for black business is destroyed, literally, as a false accusation of a white woman against a black professional ends in the utter destruction of an economic infrastructure.
After over a century of delibitating socio-economic blows, the black community now rises from these ashes like a Phoenix, and taps into both the Spirit and Socio-Economic inheritance and influence left to us by entrepreneurs of a bygone era, but with a message more relevant today than when they were at their pinnacle; we are introducing and implementing the principles of Dr. Claude Andersons POWERNOMICS, as well as presenting Spiral Funding in an effort to manifest Economic Justice, bringing forth a more successful and competitive black-america.
So tune in and join us on our mission of discovering what has driven us in our money-making efforts. We are embarking on completing the RE-CREATION of that thriving economic center, on a National and International level as we reconnect with having businesses from MORE INDUSTRIES that cater to US, and as we expand into the Motherland - economically. Black Wall Street International is sounding our trumpet, and calling all cars, to join us in re-making and remodeling our hearts, minds, communities and BANK ACCOUNTS and bringing back in real - time, the neighborhoods, businesses and marketplaces built BY BLACKS, for BLACKS. This is a modern-day expression of commUNITY, decent values and the success from COOPERATIVE ECONOMICS of GETTING PAID as a people!
