I have a dream...50 Years Later...
This year I celebrated my 50th Birthday and my gift to you is to remind us how important it is to give back. What is the meaning of life if we don't leave a legacy from which others benefit?
Our forefathers and mothers planted trees from which we gather fruit, and dug wells from which we quench our thirst.
So what are we leaving behind for the Black Communnity today?
in Self Help
Malcolm X WARNED US in his 1964 speech in Cleveland, Ohio (The Ballot or The Bullet) that we should not allow these phony politicians to come into our communities and keep lying to us year and year and providing us NOTHING.
With the recent article from Harlem World, it is time that WE as a People put the BLACK CHURCH on front street. I've said this many time of this show and others, that the Black Church is one of TWO organizations that can erase the issue in our community(BLACK) overnight. With the amount of CAPTIAL that the church receives every Sunday it could can equate to a Credit Union in the community that they resided. The CU can lend funds to small business owners that will create JOBS. The CHURCH can finance Faith based Charter School that focus on Science, Math, Finance, Business, International trade, etc.
The reason why this has not happened is because of GREED! Let's call it for what it is! Another reason is some of these men/women can not humbled themselves to be apart of a TEAM effort. They want all the Fame and GLORY to themselves. So we will discuss this vital issue on the show today and I'm sure it's going to be a HOT ISSUE.

Four Indiana Church Music Legends; Reverend Marvin Chandler, Tim Bratton, Sylvia Davis and Napoleon Williams Join the discussion of the influence and the importance of music in the church. Should it be just in the form of a ministry or viewed as a part of the regular Worship service.
The church in the black community was a place of healing and refuge. It was a place where some of the greatest civil rights leaders came from. The church was the meeting place and the moral compass in the black community. It seem like those days are gone and can it return. Black women are ranked the most religous in the nation but has the highest single parenting rate in the nation. How can church going women continue in this epideminc? The black church refuse to address the family issues, crime, racism and the great decline of morality in the black community. They have great places of worship but the problems are worse now than they were before de-segregation. These churches faithfully collect tithes and offerings but the church members can't get financial assistance if they need it from the same church they tithe to. We want to tackle this subject on a logical level and talk about what the direction should be.
We will look at the role the Church is playing (or not playing) in the lives of young Black men? Are they doing enough?
