Scriptures indicate that there is power in the words we speak, power for life and power for death, to ourselves and to others. First, thoughts form, then words, then actions, and this can produce spiritual death if led by the flesh nature. God has given us a "filter" between our thoughts and our words, and we must appropriate that filter. A Biblical perspective contrasts to the satanic counterfeit of Metaphysics, Positive Thinking, or The Law of Attraction for using words to engourge lustful appetites.

Ellen Gee welcomes rapper, poet, and overall cool kid 2Point to this episode of The Evolution of Perspective. He comes to the show to discuss love, creativity, and gives us a peek into the world of someone who is wise beyond his years. He's quiet but when he does speak, the gems he drops are beyond amazing. He says he's not in for the glory. He represents the real ones with a story. It will be my pleasure to get to know him this evening.

She recorded her first song in Columbia, South Carolina, where she also earned her diploma at Richland Northeast High School's Palmetto Center for the Arts. Shortly after, she moved to New York City, and later, Charm City. It was in Baltimore where she met her lead producer, Morece, at an internship doing theatre with inner city youths.
An impromptu performance with Baltimore wordsmiths, David Ross and Femi Lawal of 5th L cleared a way to work with artists in the Baltimore music scene and beyond.
A month later, she was performing with the group in New York. A year later she was asked to come on as the vocalist for live performances with the Out of Water eXperience, Lawal's solo adventure that fuses alternative rock and hip hop.
Using this unique opportunity, Alexis has honed her talents on stage and at local venues.
She is now on the verge of releasing her first solo album.
An Army Brat, Alexis-Joyce is truly a lover of music- in all it's many forms. Her musical influences range from Donny Hathaway, Natalie Cole, and Stevie Wonder, to Aerosmith, Santana, The Eagles, and country artist such as Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Kieth Urban, and Miranda Lambert. She spent months dancing to a Shania Twain cassette tape- given to her by an aunt as a girl.
"There's no such thing as 'Black music' or 'White music," says Alexis Joyce. "I strive to create music- and that can cross racial and cultural barriers. Music isn't stifled or limited by anyone's genre restrictions."
She joins Ellen Gee on this episode of The Evolution of Perspective.
