She has been most active the past 18 years since moving to Atlanta. Recently she has been focused on marine mammals and their welfare. She is deeply concerned about our oceans and the life in them. She believes captivity is wrong and tries to educate when ever possible. A campaign she has been watching and deeply involved with as of recent is the GA Aquarium trying secure permits to import 18 beluga whales from the cruel Russia round up. in Spirituality

    Stellar Award winning, Dove Award nominated songwriter and producer Billy Dorsey has already achieved more in his young life than most musicians dream possible. He has worked with notable recording artists such as Lecrae, Maino, Pretty Ricky, 2 Chainz, and Day 26. Within the first month of their first visit to Beverly Hills to work with J.R., Billy was doing songs for major artists such as T.I. and B.o.B. (“Not Lost”) and Plies (“Runway”), and began networking with many other top tier producers and writers around the globe. “Working with J.R. gave me the resume I needed to be able to work with anyone else in the industry. It was the “keys to the kingdom”, so to speak,” he said.

    Interview: Alex Lewis of Fins and Fluke

    in Pets

    Alex Lewis has already accomplished more in her 24 years than many twice her age. After watching The Cove, the infamous documentary about the horrific dolphin killings in Taiji, Japan, she took it upon herself to learn everything she could about marine mammal captivity. She has since become a prominent activist in the captivity protest movement.
    In July of this year, Alex joined forces with the Free the Atlanta 11 and Georgia Animal Rights Protection organizations to protest the importation of 18 Beluga Whales to the United States by the Georgia Aquarium and other undisclosed marine parks. The protest resulted in significant press coverage and a growing awareness among the public of the marine mammal conservation efforts led by individuals such as Alex.
    Alex, along with five others, recently co-founded Fins and Fluke, an organization dedicated to educating local communities about ocean conservation.

    GlobalWildlife Warriors Presents Imaq With Christopher Porter

    in Environment

    For the first time, Global Wildlife Warriors is taking the hot topics in Animal Rights today into a live discussion platform. Guests will be given the opportunity to openly discuss the topic at hand, answer questions and give insight directly to their listeners.

    Imaq is a large male Beluga whale used for breeding purposes at the Vancouver Aquarium. Imaq is the largest Beluga at the aquarium, yet he is held in one of the smallest tanks due to a lack of appropriate facilities. Imaq is placed in an old, rather small holding pool that is approximately 10 feet deep. This temporary holding tank has become Imaq's permanent residence with his only companion another Beluga whale. Imaq exhibits stress related swimming patterns and has been placed on hormone treatments to suppress his natural breeding cycles.

    Discussing Imaq's living conditions, and the campaign he initiated to improve Imaq conditions is Christopher Porter. Christopher Porter is known as the Darth Vader in the dolphin trade and exportation industry. Christopher was the biggest buyer and seller of dolphins in the world. In the period from 2003 to 2009 he had sold 83 dolphins around the world.

    In late 2009, Christopher Porter decided to leave the dolphin-export business and become an environmental activist.

    Christopher Porter's goal of improving Imaq's life is by getting involved, and letting the Vancouver Aquarium know that Imaq's situation is unacceptable.

    Christpher will also be discussing his present campaigns and plans for the future

    "Throughout history it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most;
    that has made it possible for evil to triumph."
