Social Media vs Real Life - Is Social Media Destroying Relationships?
There's no doubt social media enables us to organize our real-world relationships, and even meet new people
But could social networking have an adverse effect on our quality of life?
Consider this: 24% of respondents to one survey said they've missed out on enjoying special moments in person because — ironically enough — they were too busy trying to document their experiences for online sharing. Many of us have had to remind ourselves
to "live in the now" — instead of worry about composing the perfect tweet or angling for just the right Instagram shot. Worldwide, Facebook users spend 10.5 billion minutes each day surfing the site, that's nearly 20 years per day that people spend living online instead of offline.
What matters most in shaping who we and our children will be--their genes or their environment?
Host Dawn Davenport, Executive Director of Creating a Family, the national infertility & adoption education and support organization, interviews Dr. Danielle Posthuma, Head of Department of Complex Trait Genetics at the Center for Neurogenomics and Cognitive Research at the Neuroscience Campus in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and co-investigator for a recently released study on what twin studies have shown about nature vs. nurture.

while others are charged...... but never indicted.

speak it....hear it......
Stay True and Be Blessed
Did you miss last year's special on "Class vs Ass...The Definition of True Beauty", where we discussed exactly what being a beautiful, respectable and classy woman is all about and how men view women who do things like: twerk, make duck faces, play sexual games, flirt and have sex on the first night? If so, tune into "The BEST of The Dedan Tolbert Show" TONIGHT at 9:00pm EST for a special rebroadcast. The long term listeners know that I've never liked Anita Sarkeesian.
This goes back to when I was still providing free labor to Black Freethinkers.
My first thought on her that still stands is that shes a huckster and a Fox News Feminist.
We'll go further in depth on her along with her SWERF - ism when she talks about who she berates as "prostituted women".
News & Comment
Isis says Michelle Obama is worth 40 dollars and post racial, white conservatives react.
#BlameOneNotAll is the new #NotAllMen
And in the social networks, a white woman calls black people apes and a white feminist demands that we play nice and calls me a mysoginist... because white.

It might not all be great, or even good, but it's been...boxing. And there's been plenty of it, so that has been nice. Maybe the idea is that Haymon and Premier Boxing Champions hit us so fast and with so many fight cards that we don't stop to wonder whether the overall numbers are good for that venture, or where the money is coming from, etc. Some of us don't care about those questions anyway. This last weekend, we got a better-than-expected fight between James DeGale and Andre Dirrell on NBC that included some historical implications, and this coming weekend on Spike, it's weirdos Amir Khan and Chris Algieri providing us with...something. But don't forget the huge Sky card from London featuring Kell Brook vs Frankie Gavin, Jorge Linares vs Kevin Mitchell, Evgeny Gradovich vs Lee Selby, Anthony Joshua and more. There will be a lot of talking. Thanks for tuning in!
