Pitching, pitching and more pitching was the dominant statistical storyline in the 2013 MLB All-Star Game. This year’s contest was, like last year’s, a shutout, marking the first time in All-Star Game history that consecutive games were shutouts. The 3 runs scored were the fewest combined by the two teams in an All-Star Game since 1990.
Tonight, the guys will recap the three-day All-Star break, starting with the futures game. Alan & Steve will tell you which prospects shined and which ones could be the next Manny Machado/ Last year, Machado was in the futures game and this season is played in the Mid-Summer Classic.
They will then have highlights of the HR Derby and All-Star Game and tell you why Tuesday’s A.L. victory went exactly according to plan for Tigers manager Jim Leyland. The guys will also recap the impact of the Orioles and Nationals during the All-Star festivities.

As all eyes now turn towards the July 31 trade deadline, the guys will tell you what possible blockbusters could take place.
It was a crazy week prior to the break. The Rays’ pitching got stingy, the Mariners’ bats got lively, a Brewer finally tossed a complete game, while the Pirates finally answer the A’s and Tim Lincecum finds his groove with a no-no. Alan will deliver all of the amazing stats and more from the week of July 8-17 and Steve joins Alan to deliver the Fanspeak Top 10 Power Poll.

The baked goods, fruit and seasonal produce collected would otherwise be thrown away as it will not stay fresh until the next market.
