How could we have strayed so far from the biblical picture of the Christian life? It is often referred to as a fight or war (Ephesians. 6:10-20; 2 Timothy. 2:3; 4:7), neither of which are pleasant. Many passages tell us to expect trials and hardship (John 16:33; 2 Timothy. 1:8; 1 Peter 4:12). The abundant life that Jesus promised has nothing to do with a trouble-free life, but rather with having His joy in the midst of tribulation. He stated plainly the requirements for following Him: You must be willing to deny yourself and take up your cross daily (Luke 9:23). You see the cross was not a slightly irritating circumstance; it was an instrument of slow, tortuous death! Join us for Lesson Topic From The Series: Going All The Way In!" After a five-year hiatus, 'Winning America Back' will once again go live for all the free world to hear. The premise of the show remains the same, however, the impetus has changed. When we were broadcasting the show back in 2009, the content was derived from an ego-centric place. It was 'me' first. In 2014, much has changed.
After graduating from CSB School of Broadcasting in 2008, I was hoping to launch myself into the conservative talk radio world and make a great living speaking my mind. I've listened to some of my archived episodes, and am turned off by my self-righteous and self-glorified attitude.
Second, there was a focus on all of you, the listeners. I hoped to reach out to both conservatives and liberals, and to serve as a 'bridge over the divide', believing somewhat that I had such a power. I had a love of country, and was hoping to help repair the distance between 'We the People'. In essence, this was more ego-centrism.
Third, I did feel I was answering a call from God to speak his Word, which is the Truth. Throughout the duration of the season in which I was broadcasting 'Winning America Back' on BTR, I did pay some mind to God the Father and the Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but neglected to put Him first.
In 2014, 'Winning America Back' has reset it's priorities and put the Lord in the driver's seat. America is not yet buried, but is certainly dead. If we are going to resurrect true freedom and liberty, and provide justice for all, we must repent from the track we are on and place God in the center of our lives and our nation. 'Winning America Back' is committed to spreading this message. We look forward to hearing from you, as we are certain that you have much wisdom to share. God Bless you, and God Bless America!
