Our Journey, where we've been and where we are now, 21 years later with Autism & other neuro-differences, homeschooling and now into adult life. You can homeschool your child too, no matter their difficulties, with patience, love, understanding and a bit of research too. You can enjoy your family and have a lifelong love of learning.
Autism Acceptance, Awareness, Advocacy, Activism and Action is what we need in the Autism Community. Any parent, anyone that knows someone with Autism/ASD can do something to help raise true awareness & acceptance of our children and adults with Autism.
Be a true activist by helping a family in your community, even if its just to let them know its okay when you see their child having that meltdown. The family that you'll see, frantic because their child just ran off in the store or even when you see that child spinning and giggling in a world of their own. Get involved with the organizations that are putting those funds back into helping the families, not just research.
I look forward to sharing our journey and encouraging you with your family's journey with Autism and Homeschooling.
Feel free to call in or join us in the chat room with questions and your input. :-) 1-619-393-2848 or you can call in via Skype.

As April comes to a close and we end Autism Acceptance month for 2014, how as individuals, family members and community members do we continue to facilitate positive change beyond Autism Awareness?
What steps should we take to promote a meaningful call to action for Acceptance both within the Autism and Asperger community and our world at large?
How can we tame some of the infighting among organizations and individuals within the autism community and work together toward a common goal of providing meaningful services, support and resources to help youth and adults on the autism spectrum and their families?
We welcome you to join Autism Empowerment Radio as Autism Empowerment co-founders Karen and John Krejcha share about the activities that Autism Empowerment has been involved with in April and how those activities are sparking meaningful change locally and throughout the nation.
You will learn about our Autism Serves Volunteerism program.
You will learn about Ambassadors for Acceptance of All Abilities.
You will be called to positive action. We all have gifts to give. We all have positive ways we can serve in changing the world for the better and in the process, improving our own life trajectory as well.

We will be talking to Jason Ross about his autistic carnival, poetry will be read and this will be a very enthralling show.
Simply Drive Mom Crazy. I am not going to tell people ways on which to drive their mom crazy. It simply a metaphor.
My name is Jason Ross who is a 34 year old Autistic Adult and Autistic disability rights activist. I support the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network, and what used to be Autism Network International and now is Association for Autistic Community, and Ollibean.
I have Asperger Syndrome. I have always believed in Neurodiversity. A lot of people think of me as the peacemaker in the community because I am always trying my best to bring the whole community together.
I am the type of person who always wants to learn and do new things. I gear up for it. Whenever I see something new, I try to experience it unless say its something that won’t be good for me.
This site will hopefully give you a glimpse into my world. A world which is also part of the Autistic World.
