Our guest for March will be Dorothy Derapelian. We are so excited to add her to our line-up of guests for 2015.
Dorothy has been in private practice since 1986. She obtained my Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at Austin in 1976 and her Master of Education from the University of New Hampshire in 1986. She specializes in play therapy and has worked with many children in the foster care system. While working with these children, it became apparent that their emotional needs are extremely important to help them move forward with their greatness.
To do so, she began creating Core Attachment Therapy© in the early 2000’s and became an advanced trainer for NHA® in 2007. She also conduct home studies for Child and Family Services for families interested in domestic and international adoptions. But most importantly, Dorothy is an adoptive mother. Adopting a lovely girl from Russia at the age of 6. She is currently 25 years old and is an example of walking in greatness.
We hope you'll join us for another inspiring program.
Anyone who uses drugs or alcohol will pick up entities when in a high, inebriated, drunken, stoned state of mind. It even happens with the use of some medical sedatives such as Oxycontin and others, or even too many sedative herbs, possibly.
When a woman is raped, for example, she usually picks up a slew of harmful, nasty or just mischievous entities from the rapist. Some entities enjoy hanging around rapists for the fun of it, or to burrow into the woman raped for some sort of odd sexual experience.
Although it is not mentioned much, whenever a baby is born, entities gather around. Unortunately, newborns are vulnerable to entity attachment. It could even happen before birth, but it definitely happens at and right after birth.
Some entities love being inside a woman’s vagina, or perhaps inside a man. When people have sex, particularly casual sex with people not their spouse, entity attachment is extremely common. It almost goes with the territory. This is a powerful reason to not engage in casual sex, even if you are single and unattached
This show will discuss attachment styles and how these influences our relationships. Dr. Malik Raheem will discuss theories rooted in psychoanalytic thought, the treatment of couples using an object relations approach is based in the idea of the power of the unconscious. Unresolved childhood concerns, still “lurking” in the unconscious effect present choices..with guest speaker Dr. Gadsden.

Nikki Preece, Ex. Dir. of Fulshear Ranch Academy, a therapeutic boarding school near Houston Texas for young women ages 18 and above, joined Lon Oct. 9, 2014 to explain their adoption of an Attachment Model last Spring for their young adult women. Nikki explained how these girls suffer from attachment insecurity and often have been adopted. This decision was made from comments by their students that had been in many therapeutic programs and felt they "learned nothing good about themselves.' The girls are now very positive and enthusiastic about this new approach Nikki explained.

Relationships are the stuff of our deepest pain and joy. They can leave gaping holes that cause great vulnerability to addiction, and they are also a large part of healing addictions. Ed Khouri shares a fascinating piece of research that links trauma through early attachment problems to dopamine receptor density that affects the ability to regulate pain, pleasure, and emotions. That sets the bar for the level of relational joy in people’s lives. Propensity for addiction increases radically when relational joy is low. What can be done to increase our joy bonds? Lots! Join Beyond Abuse Radio as we explore the connection between addiction and attachment and catch the hope for healing.
Does the thought of developing bonded relationships cause your stomach to flip flop? Are the words “trust” and “vulnerability” on your DGT (Don’t Go There) list? Forming bonded relationships that bring joy is the most important skill in life, but one that is not imparted to many children. Attachment problems result from abuse or neglect perpetrated consciously or through unavoidable circumstances. When parents do not attach in a healthy manner to their kids, problems develop. The inability to form healthy, secure attachments causes disruptions to relationships that can last a lifetime if not treated. Attachment treatment done properly can help children and parents create loving, healing relationships and can even be used for adult trauma recovery. Join Matt Bradley from Beatitude House as he shares about his work as an attachment therapist.
Matt and Fawn Bradley have trained with some of the most renown attachment experts for 5 years. During that time they were therapeutic foster parents to over 80 children with significant attachment problems, and learned the most from those kids with hurting hearts. They now help families that are stuck and have not been helped by traditional therapies.
A licensed marriage and family therapist with over 25 year experience, Matthew helps to heal children and adults suffering with Attachment Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, behavior problems, PTSD, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum, EMDR, ODD, and many other types of emotional trauma issues. He is also a AAMFT Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor.
Matthew and Fawn are also nationally recognized workshop presenters
In looking at the most significant events that have formed who we are and how we view our lives, we can usually find a pattern of people, places or things that we were attached to that we either were pelased that we got or devistated that we didn't get. Today, we'll be exploring the concept of becoming attached to detachment...the state of being where you can love and appreciate the things in your life while holding the ability to let them go.
For those that are here in the San Francisco bay area, I'll be giving a more extensive talk on this subject on Tuesday, June 9th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the Center for Createive Living, 1460 Koll Circle, Suite C, San Jose, CA 95112. Directions are available through my website.
After the show I'll be logging into the chatroom to answer questions. If you would like to arrange for a private consultation or just learn more about me, you can reach me through my website at www.the-healing-house.com
VACATION AND HOLIDAY ENTITY ATTACHMENT
Many people, go ALL OUT to celebration holidays, birthdays, not knowing that they are setting themselves up for entity attachment.
For example, we go on a vacation to relax, however, the trip is stressful, the food is not as good as home-cooked, one drinks more alcohol than usual and stays up late because one does not have to go to work the next day, and perhaps has more sex than usual. The result is entity attachment, that can remain for years.
