    Asthma House Calls with Dr. Steven Shanbom

    Xan Barksdale is a former professional baseball player with the Atlanta Braves organization</a>and current coach at NCAA Division I Eastern Tennessee State Unversity.   In addition, Xan works with young people and high school students at baseball camps.  Xan also has chronic asthma.

    Dr. Randhawa is a pediatric pulmonologist at Long Beach Memorial Hospital and Miller Children’s Hospital.  Dr. Randhawa is board certified in both adult internal medicine and pediatrics and has additional certifications in clinical immunology, allergy, and pulmonary medicine.  He currently serves as the director of adult cystic fibrosis at Long Beach Memorial Hospital and holds faculty appointments at the David Geffen UCLA School of medicine and at UCI Miller Children’s Hospital.

Prior to Children’s she was the director of Pediplace in Louisville, and a hospitalist at the Stanford Hospital system in California. She is board certified in pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
