On tonight's show we discover how Tom came to understanding the principles of liberty and left the mainstream. He also will lay down the foundation for liberty and describes what it is. We also get to know a bit of Tom and Brad's political history. And from there we reveal how we came to create this show and why it is entitiled "The Annoying Peasant Radio Show". So hopefully this will be a fun show with a splash of content that will cause you to pause
Are you good friend.? Think about it, what do you really contribute to a friendship? Do you give what you expect out of others in a friendship? Are you loyal, supportive, encouraging, etc? Most people will say yes but for at least half of us, its not true. Do you realize that some of the things that you might be doing is ANNOYING AS HELL and could possibly be destroying your friendships? We understand that some of you might not be aware of it, but The Go2Gurl & I (MsiCandi) have come up with a list of 7 annoying habits that can ruin a friendship. Some of you will fit in a category, others definitely have a friend of two that fit into one or several categories. So join us tonight on iCandi After Dark and we talk about it. Show starts at 10:00 pm EST 619-393-2813
On this episode, believe it or not, we are going to be talking about the recent Russell Brand interview with Jeremy Paxman. Brand goes from understanding the failures (to some degree) of the current social policy to his own utter failure to understand the principles of economics in a flash. He does make an impassioned plea to question authority as well as a fervent call to revolution. Is the man just nuts? Join us to find out what the Annoying Peasants think.
This should be a thought provoking and fun episode of the Annoying Peasant Radio Show. We welcome all to be part of the show, whether you want to listen in, join the lively chat or give us a call with your questions or comments.
On this episde of the Annoying Peasant Radio Show we re-enter into the debate of discrimination of a free society. Many, including Brad are very uncomfortable (to say the least) with the ability to discriminate. Tom will attempt to make the case for discrimination (somewhat in the style of Walter Block's "Defending the Undefendable").
We welcome all to join in on the discussion. I am sure there will be a lively debate. The dissenting side will likely not have prepared through research. We shall educate!
So call in with your questions, join the chat or listen and use the discussion to build your position.
On this episode of the Annoying Peasant Radio Show we are going to discuss a variety of aspects related to the fundamentals of liberty. Tom will try to make a grand analogy to open the show and get the wheels moving. Then we will talk a bit about Batiat's "That Which is Seen, and That Which is Not Seen" and how it relates to our guest Thomas Michie's excellent piece "Perpetual Poverty: The Case for Property Rights and Markets.
We have a bunch of other items to talk about as well that relate to liberty that the Northwoods Mom has so graciously posted for us. We welcome everyone with a genuine interest in learning to join us and be part of the show in some way. You can call in and ask a question, join the chat or just listen.
Please join us for a special Thursday edition of the Annoying Peasant Radio Show. The Northwoods Mom joins me to discuss a number of topics from the libertarian perspective. Tanya always brings a fresh perspective and a strenuous defense of freedom.
We welcome you to join us in the chat room, call the guest line and ask a question or make a comment or just listen in privacy. At times libertarianism can be a lonely endeavor and I much appreciate the support of all of those who choose to reject the notion of a soundbite and stay for full context to develop.
On this episode of the Annoying Peasant Radio Show we are joined by Kevin Carson, a fascinating figure, writer, mutualist and individualist anarchist. Mr. Carson has written a number of books (Studies in Mutualist Political Economy and Organization Theory: A Libertarian Perspective, and The Homebrew Industrial Revolution) and numerous other writings.
We of course would like to explore the theory of mutualism and how Mr. Carson came to be an anarchist. We look forward to an enlightening session inspiring our listeners to become further interested in the possibility of a free society.
Where the conversation leads is in part up to you. We recommend you join us in any way you can, but seriously consider the fun of the chat room.
We welcome all listeners and thank all for their participation.
Our country has been under attack and the level of homeland security has been heightened to strange new levels. There is no doubt that we need to be prepared to defend ourselves in the event that war is declared. The government seeks out new recruits for our military branches continuously, using everything from uniformed representatives standing in crowded market places ready to sign up our youth, and well-prepared commercials to swoon our children off the couch and into the battlefield. Are military commercials misleading our youth with misleading messages that glamorize war?
On this episode of the Annoying Peasant Radio show we are discussing a wide variety of topics from the "What has Government Done to Our Money" (and money in general), debt ceiling wars, violence in Chicago, Starbucks, the "you can just leave" syndrome, and all kinds of current event topics. But the big news is that Brad is growing up!
We will visit some fundamentals to be sure. We welcome you to be part of the show in any form you desire. You can listen archived on your computer or on itunes, listen live, join the chat or call in with a question or comment. We look forward to your participation as this show is about learning the fundamentals of liberty.
On this episode of the Annoying Peasant Radio Show we will be talking about capitalism. Our discussion will include the terminology of capitalism with our distinguished guest Dr. Gary Chartier of the Center for a Stateless Society. Heck, we will be talking about a wide range of aspects of liberty as we always do.
Gary Chartier is is an author of numerous books, a professor of law and business ethics and the dean of the school of business at La Sierra University in Riverside, California.
We welcome you to join us and be part of the conversation. It should be interesting and wide ranging. Listen in, join the chat or call in to be part of the show. We welcome your pariticipation. We ask that you keep it respectful. That way we have a chance to learn as much as we can from Dr. Chartier.
On this episode of the Annoying Peasant Radio show we will be discussing a Tedx entitled Stop Stealing Dreams which was presented by Seth Godin. I will be very interested to gain Brad's perspective on this presentation.
In addition, the Northwoods Mom will be posting a variety of education related articles this week on the Annoying Peasant Radio facebook page.
So watch the video, read the articles and form your thoughts.
We welcome your comments on this very interesting and far reaching topic. So join us by calling in, joining the lively chat or just listen in. Any way you choose, we are glad to have you join us.
