The moment almost none of us have been waiting for is here. Floyd Mayweather fights Andre Berto this weekend on Pay-Per-View, for way too much money, under the guise that this will be his final bout. As you can see, we're really excited about the prospect of paying $75 to watch Floyd fight a guy who lost to Jesus Soto Karass and Victor Ortiz. At least the undercard (Badou Jack vs George Groves, Roman Martinez vs Orlando Salido II, Ishe Smith vs Vanes Martirosyan) isn't laughable.
Earlier Saturday on NBC, Peter Quillin fights a guy named Michael Zerafa (just go look on the internet yourself, trust us), and Cornelius Bundrage fights for the first time in about a year against Jermall Charlo.
Austin Trout fights tonight (Tues) on FoxSports 1, but on Friday light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson continues to face sub-par opposition when he defends against Tommy Karpency on Spike, from Premier Boxing Champions. Talented welterweight Errol Spence Jr. fights in the co-feature.
On CBS last Sunday from PBC, Anthony Dirrell won a ho hum decision over Marco Antonio Rubio, and in the co-feature Jamie McDonnell again defeated Tomoki Kameda by controversial decision.
It's been a mediocre year, as you all know. But there's news about Scott Quigg and Nonito Donaire being nearly finalized, some pointing and laughing to do about upcoming cards... And joining James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor once again this week is Matthew Swain of The Queensberry Rules.
Thanks for tuning in!

After 19 years as a professional, Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26 KOs) will attempt to match boxing's coveted unbeaten record of 49 wins without a loss, originally set by Heavyweight legend and boxing icon, Rocky Marciano. Standing in his way will be former two-time Welterweight title holder Andre Berto (30-3, 23 KOs).
Although the 32 year old fight veteran is a former WBC and IBF 147 pound champion, he will be coming to the ring as a 16 to 1 betting underdog, according to most Race and Sports Books.
Will Floyd Mayweather Jr. make history at the MGM Grand this evening, or can Berto pull off the improbable upset?
Opening up the "War a Week" Radio broadcast, Joseph and Rodney will give undercard updates as well as live round by round coverage of the big co-main event between Roman "Rocky" Martinez (29-2-2, 17 KOs) and Orlando "Siri" Salido (42-13-2, 29 KOs) for the Puerto Rican native's WBO Super Featherweight title!!
Join "War a Week" Radio this evening for live round by round coverage of "Mayweather vs. Berto"!!
After months of speculation, a welterweight showdown between Danny “Swift” Garcia (31-0, 18KOs) and Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (33-3-1, 18KOs) has been made official. The announcement came from Garcia’s Instagram account in a post that clarified both the date and venue.
The Haymon managed fighters will meet on January 23 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California in the main event of the first-ever PBC card televised on the FOX network. For the past few months, PBC has produced a weekly card on Fox Sports 1 called Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays, effectively bringing boxing back to Tuesdays and offering up some interesting cards in the process.
It was rumored last month after media speculation began to spill over that PBC would start airing fights on a third national television network – FOX. FOX has had a successful run with the UFC, and it was willing to do the same time-buy deal Haymon has brokered with other networks.
