News recap and a deeper look at Hollywood's promotion of US foreign policy

    in News

During this episode of The Hagmann & Hagmann Report, we will be conducting an extensive recap of the news that many might have missed due to the Christmas holiday. We take a very extensive look at the history of Hollywood's promotion of US foreign policy and how we might be seeing a replay of the 1930's with the controversial hack and showing of The Interview. Could we be witnessing CIA involvement in the hacking? As it grows increasingly less likely that North Korea was the source of hacking, then things appear to become much clearer- and much more ominous.

We will look ahead at the raminfications of the implementation of the U.S. being a signatiry on the United Nation's Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), and much more.

Graphic Policy Radio Talks Agent Carter with Guest Scott Kaufman

    in Pop Culture

This Monday Graphic Policy Radio is back for a brand new episode dedicated to Marvel's Agent Carter. The show will air LIVE at 10pm ET. Joining us is return guest Scott Kaufman, who you might know as SEK.

The winter/spring television season has begun, and debuting is Marvel's Agent Carter, filling the space until Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns. Years before Agent Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. team swore to protect those who cannot protect themselves from threats they cannot conceive, there was Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell, "Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier") who pledged the same oath but lived in a different time when women weren't recognized as being as smart or as tough as their male counterparts.

With three episodes on the air, we'll talk about what we think so far.

Scott is the proprietor of the AV Club’s Internet Film School and an associate editor at The Raw Story. He also writes for Lawyers, Guns & Money, podcasts, and is an expert on Game of Thrones.

So listen in LIVE, and join the conversation too. We want to hear what you have to say, so call us at (619) 768-2952 or Tweet us your thoughts to @graphicpolicy.
