Are there days when you don’t want to go to work simply because you don’t want to deal with some difficult person who works there? Do you get agitated when you pull into the parking lot and see “his car?” Do you feel if this person would just go away, your job would be a lot easier? But, that person happens to be your boss or a relative of your boss and he isn’t going anywhere! What can you do about that?
Join host, Judi Moreo, author of “You Are More Than Enough” and guest, Courtney Elizabeth Anderson, the Workplace Relationship Expert, as they explore how you can practice the “Joyful Art of Business,” and look at ways to combine the positive benefits of our professional endeavors (“business”) with the overall return on our efforts (“joy”). Work should not be a chore. The act of engaging in professional endeavors, in any capacity (i.e., as an employee employer, entrepreneur, contractor, volunteer, paid, full time, part time, intermittently, etc.) is an expression of our ideas and creative endeavors (“art”).
You don’t want to let the negative actions and behaviors of others steal your joy. By understanding that many people lack confidence and are unhappy which affects the way they behave, and by boosting our own self-confidence, we can improve our relationships. “When people are confident, when they think they are good at something, regardless of how good they actually are, they display a lot of confident nonverbal and verbal behavior. When they are faking confidence is usually when the difficult behavior arises.” Anderson believes that truly confident people don’t alienate others. Listen in and learn how you can boost your confidence and deal with those who are currently making your life miserable.
If Jesus were the pastor of your church, you probably wouldn't go there. Francis Chan speaks on what it might be like if Jesus were the pastor of a church in America. He observes that the challenges and demands of truly following Jesus would alienate many American Christians.
An interesting and thought-provoking presentation.
Francis Chan is pastor of Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, California.
Today on The Paradigm Shift Show, the host, Dr. Monique Leslie Akassi, Assistant Professor at Virginia Union University, will be discussing how to (de)alienate the Black student in schools today from her chapter, "Unveiling Rhetorical Strategies in Postcolonial Era: Tropes of (De)Alienation in The Autobiography of W.E.B.Du Bois," which was published in the highly acclaimed book, Postcolonial Discourses and Renegotiations of the Black Identities, Dr. Clement Animan Akassi of Howard University. There is no coincident why so many minority students are feeling more alienated than ever since Plessy versus Ferguson and Brown versus The Board of Education. Join us today as we resurrect issues from the past and effective techniques to unveil, enlighten and uplift the Black student today on The Paradigm Shift Show.
Your intrepid host on sevsdeadserious is back for another week of fun trashing and exposing all the sociopaths, psychopaths, and other assorted weirdo inhabiting the planet. Watch as the government does nothing...except pad their own retirement. See the GOP again attempt to alienate anyone who isn't fat, white, middle-aged, male and racially insensitive. Also my son has a glove, plays baseball and keeps getting hit by the ball...and he's the catcher (its the gear, not the job. Plus more riffs, rants and rave-ups from yours truly...moi!
On April 17, 2010, I interviewed Julianne, a survivor and advocate. Please join us for this repeat show. (original show -- http://www.blogtalkradio.com/oralhistory/2010/04/17/beyond-words-live--meet-julianne)
Julianne discusses her own personal experiences with domestic violence, as well as her involvement in the development of domestic violence programs in rural America, as well as some dilemmas and issues surrounding reaching those in the rural america about resources available to them too. Domestic violence in rural America is a perplexing issue because the batterer will often go to great lengths to alienate and isolate a victim -- oftentimes, this includes moving them out to the most remote area that they can where the victim has little access to communication with the wide world, as well as their friends and family members. How can we possibly reach these folks? Be sure to tune in and perhaps we'll hear some creative ideas that you, as a listener, can proactively do as well.
BEYOND WORDS LIVE is designed as a platform for survivors to tell their stories in their own words. Join us for further discussions on these matters at: http://facebook.com/DomesticViolenceVoices, http://facebook.com/KrastinSocialJustice and http://beyondwordslifecoach.blogspot.com/.

THE RAW POWER OF THE
FIRST AMERICAN REVOLUTION
TO FUEL THE SECOND!
“Grand Strategist for the Second American Revolution” has laid our the battle plan for fighting and winning the Second American Revolution in less time than it took to win the first without taking over the Congress, the White House, the Supreme Court, or any Constitutional amendments.
The document approved by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, was more than just a Declaration of Independence. It was a proclamation of the rightful role of government. It was a justification for rebellion against illegitimate authority. It was a declaration of war. So is this document.
In a tragic case of historical irony, the very institution which was established to fight an illegitimate government has become one. The very government which was established to defend God-given, unalienable rights has chosen to deny God and alienate these rights from its people. And the very document, the Declaration of Independence, which was drafted to justify the establishment of this independent government will now judge that same government. The verdict: “Guilty.” The sentence? “[W]henever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government….”
Every American needs to understand that the entire national press is controlled, and is simply giving you the "news" you are supposed to have. "Houston, We Have A Problem!!!"
'Lost In Space' awaiting 'The Twilight Zone' to come to an end while reaching the 'Outter Limits' of your sanity? Every one seemingly vanish as if zapped by 'Martin The Martin'? I am the only one in this 'Deep Space'? I wasn't asked "take me to your leader" because the leader was already me. Everyone else seemed out in the Universe. Daily orbits in our world went off course, hoping, wishing, praying our God will overcome the battle of solar systems. With all Brain Injury Survivors, the ruckus created a hostile land only time will fix, sorta. With a Traumatic Brain Injury survived, the unexpected fight took control of your entire being, entire world that only time will heal - kinda. All BI's require therapy, and 'your leader' is mistaken if the process is over when you 'THINK'. NASA wise - "Come in Houston, again. we have a problem".
Mork, Alf, Kazoo? Good Aliens, so, I evidently landed on the Good Planet of TBI Humor, where all is good if I stick to stratigy. So, pointed the Angel life-gun skyward and saw Drops of Jupitor falling. I grabbed a bunch. . WE ARE OUR LEADERS! Deborah Berry will stop by; she didn't Alienate us.
FOR LOVE OR MONEY – HOSTED BY CRAIG SICILIA
What’s your story, why do you want to be part of brain injury, but more importantly the people who are your support what’s their story. Why do they do the things they do. Is it just a job and if the pay check goes away so do them, is it to make more money. There is a lot of money in brain injury a lot, personal injury is the highest profit, the system has it so you need a lawyer to be anything, a insurance company you paid your whole life will play games and string it out, your health insurance will want any settlement money to cover what they paid out, Now that you cognitive benefits expired your eligible for mental health help, these guys are really scary they have their own courts and hold you if they feel like it so don’t piss em off and your insurance will pay 500 plus in prescription meds each month . You doctors will say your physical where its going to be sending more fear but you will be kept in the medical model and they will want to study you to see why you’re a messed up person, and those who say they service us will collect millions of dollar and monetize ever aspect of our injury. if theres a penny they seem to take credit for many organizations hard work and alienate them by wanting ownership over everything and these folks behind the scenes have been are voice for decades is it any wonder we are silent we have never had a voice. And any chance we get survivor groups and their leaders between egos and being left out for so long combined with their own passion keep them from becoming unified what a mess, how do we get our own voice, how do we unify. Share your tales success and failures we must keep up the good fight,

On this week’s edition of Scottscope Talk Radio, we’ll be reviewing the new Paul Greengrass thriller Captain Phillips! How closely does it follow the actual events that took place during the Maersk Alabama hijacking? Can it be considered in any way factual and/or historically accurate? Does a “pseudo-biographical action thriller” have to be realistic? Is absolute realism a requirement for films such as this? Are they obligated to provide more than entertainment value? Can the portrayal of the Somali pirates be considered unfair or racist in any way? Is Paul Greengrass the premier action director of his era? Has he refined chaos cinema to an artform?
We’ll also be celebrating the 10 anniversary of Kill Bill Volume 1? Is it the better half of Quentin Tarantino’s martial arts opus? Where does it rank in his filmography? How does it compare to the classic martial arts films and spaghetti westerns that inspired it? How much of a debt does it owe to films like Lady Snowblood, They Called Her One Eye, and Shogun Assassin? How does it stand up to modern martial arts films like The Raid: Redemption and Reign of Assassins? Should Quentin ever return to this genre?
We’ll also be discussing the legal situation surrounding Michael Phillips Punisher fan film The Dead Can’t be Distracted! Why did a lawyer send him a cease-and-desist letter? Why haven’t other such fan films, which are currently available via YouTube, suffered the same fate? How do corporate entities like Marvel and DC decide which fan related projects to suppress? Why could this situation mean for the future of fan films? Will this action alienate fans?
