Alexander Galant will be with us again today to talk about his new project and his research on Dracula. Yes, the real Vampire story.
Alexander is a Canadian, residing in Toronto. His debut novel Depth of Deception (A Titanic Murder Mystery) was published in March 2012 to coincide with the centennial anniversary of Titanic. It has been awarded 'Finalist' for E-Book: Mystery/Thriller/Adventure (2012 International Book Awards) as well as Best New E-Book: Fiction category (USA Best Book Awards 2012). His short story thriller Remember Me is part of the Starship Goodwords anthology by Carrick Publishing, and his other short story, Same Crime Tomorrow is available exclusively through Amazon. Alexander is currently finishing up his next novel, LUTETIA (Darkness Beneath the City of Light) a historical thriller featuring a young Victor Hugo and his journey into the dark underworld of Paris and exposure to those he later referred to as 'Les Misérables'.
Because he has so much time on his hands (sarcasm) he decided to create a continuing on-line novelization Dracula sequel at www.undead-series.com.
Alexander has also written and directed several short films which have won awards in festivals around the world, including WorldFest Houston's Silver Remi (Suspense-Thriller) for The Missing Piece, a Bronze Remi (Horror/Fantasy) for his vampire short First Light and his comedic spoof Star Wars: Blasted Behavior won Best Foreign Sci-Fi Short at the New York International Film Festival and was a Finalist in the Atom/Lucas Film Star Wars Fan Film Competition (George Lucas was one of the judges).
Alexander Galant was the historical researcher for the novel 'Dracula the Un-Dead', which was on the New York Times Best Sellers list in October 2009. Alexander also co-wrote the screenplay adaptation that was optioned briefly by Jan de Bont and adapted the novel into a dramatic stage reading for the Toronto book launch of Dracula the Un-Dead, which brought out the highest turnout for any event on the book tour.
Alexander has also written and directed several short films including "The Jigsaw Puzzle", which won the Festival Buzz Award (most talked-about film) in the New York Independent Film Festival; "First Light", Winner Bronze Remi Award for Fantasy Horror at the WorldFest Houston, USA, Special Commendation Award at the Festival of Fantastic Films, UK, and Best Technical Achievement from the International Festival of Cinema and Technology; "The Missing Piece", Winner Silver Remi Award for Suspense Thriller at the WorldFest Houston, USA; and co-wrote and directed "Star Wars: Blasted Behavior", a finalist in the Atom Films/LucasFilm Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge (George Lucas was one of the judges), which also won the Best Foreign Sci-Fi Film Award at the New York International Film Festival and continues to make the festival circuit this year.
Alexander's love of historical details can also be seen in some of the stage productions he has directed, such as the silent film era of "Singin' in the Rain" (Act-Co Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement in Live Theatre), a 50-year span in "Love Letters" and the World War II Amsterdam annex for "The Diary of Anne Frank".

John B. Alexander, Ph.D.
Dr. John Alexander, author of the book The Warrior's Edge, has a long history of traveling a fine line between traditional sciences and studying various phenomena. He has been judicious in applying a scientifically trained, critical eye while personally encountering many situations that defy conventional explanations. Still, he remains focused on pursuing a path of knowledge that is likely to change how many people view the world. On this path there have been many adventures. Developing a deep interest in near-death studies, John Alexander completed his doctoral work under the world famous Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. He went on to become the president of the International Association for Near-Death Studies then-located at the University of Connecticut. As always, he split his efforts and continued a pragmatic path helping to create Children’s Hospice International, an organization dedicated to assisting children who are facing life-threatening illnesses and their families. For that effort he received a President’s Award for Volunteer Action from President Ronald Reagan. Until recently he worked part-time for the National Institute for Discovery Science a private research organization dedicated to exploring the UFO topic. His book, UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies, and Realities had been released by St. Martin’s Press, February 2011. To this day, Dr. Alexander continues his search. He calls it as he sees it. He has little use for conspiracy theorists, true believers who take in everything without questioning, or scoffers who refuse to accept facts no matter how persuasive. For nine years he served, as a councilor for the Society for Scientific Exploration is a past president of the International Association for Near Death Studies, and a founding board member of the International Remote Viewer's Association. Books available on Amazon.
