Sam Thurman, Cliff Stewart and Lisa Stewart of the Colorado exoneration firm A Just Cause, discuss what happens when the wheels of justice trample unbridled over the rights of innocent Americans.

Although the American system of justice is the most-respected worldwide, it is still a system designed, and operated, by humans, which means it's not perfect. Sam, Cliff, and Lisa will highlight ongoing struggles against "the system" to free wrongfully imprisoned people, and what happens when justice miscarries against an actually innocent person.

Our Special Guests for tonight's show are Professor of Administration, Byron E. Price, and Kimberly Jenkins-Snodgrass, who is currently advocating for her son, Kevin Duane Snodgrass, Jr., wrongly convicted for 1st Degree murder.

Episode 221: Officer Retention with VADM Bill Moran & CDR Guy Snodgrass

    in Military

This Sunday, join our guests Vice Admiral Bill Moran, USN, Navy Chief of Naval Personnel, and Commander Guy Snodgrass, USN, Prospective Executive Officer of Strike Fighter Squadron ONE NINE FIVE, in a discussion of the challenges in officer retention that is facing our Navy.

As over a decade of major combat operations ashore winds down, economic & budgetary stresses grow on defense spending, a strategic re-alignment combined with a generational change are coming together in a perfect storm of challenges to keep the intellectual and leadership capital our Navy needs.

What are those challenges? What lessons can be drawn from past retention problems, and what is different this time? What steps can be made in the short term to address this, and what longer term policies may be put in place to mitigate the systemic problems that are being looked at? Are their opportunities to be found inside these challenges?

Our guests will be with us for the full hour, and the foundation of our discussion will be CDR Snodgrass's  Navy officer retention study, Keep a Weather Eye on the Horizon.

Over the Top Radio - Post RAAM with 8x Relay Team FOG

    in Fitness

This evening we're joined by members (JD Thornburg, Hunter Huss, Tommy Snodgrass and crew chief Terry Lansdell) of the Concord, NC based 8 person relay Team FOG!

FOG Racing of Concord, NC competed in the 2014 Race Across America (RAAM) to raise money and awareness for the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte. Known as the “world’s toughest bicycle race,” RAAM will set more than 250 competitors on a 3,000-mile route stretching from the Pacific Coast to the Atlantic Coast. Team FOG will compete as an eight man team and race continuously day and night, on their own power expecting to complete the journey in roughly six days.

RAAM is the ultimate test of strength and determination. But every day, Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte helps children heal faster because they’re surrounded by their families. The goal of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is to improve the health and well-being of nearly 3.7 million children worldwide every year – and it has indeed made a global impact. And while its approach is to think globally, RMHC acts locally by tailoring programs and services that address the most urgent needs of each community it serves. With a network of local chapters, like the one here in Charlotte, its core programs can be found in 52 countries and regions around the globe.

FOG Racing is a group of avid cyclists who believe strongly in the Ronald McDonald House mission. These courageous adventurers will brave heat, wind, thunderstorms, altitude, the dark of night, fatigue and sleep deprivation, and cross several major mountain ranges to raise awareness and money in support of this mission.

Stillegående våpen for en hemmelig krig

    in Politics

    in Self Help
