This week on the Cosmic Citizen we will explore Christianity21, a yearly conference that explores Christianity in the 21st Century.
Birthed in 2009, Christianity21 invited attenders to Minneapolis, MN to imagine a 21st century Christianity. It featured 21 speakers who delivered 21 big ideas in 21 minutes each. For Christians who actively search for new answers to age-old questions and new meanings and values in their Christian faith traditions it is thrilling to be a part of. The conference has continued; being held in Denver in 2014 and most recently in Phoenix at the end of January 2015. We broadcast our live from the 2014 show and featured many of the speakers and leaders of the Emergent Christian movement. However, we are devoting this week's show exclusively to interviewing several Urantia Book readers who not only attended the event in Phoenix but also presented there.
It’s difficult to describe the atmosphere that is created when energized people from across the Christian spectrum come together to imagine a healthier, better faith for the future. If you didn’t get a chance to be there, we hope this week's Cosmic Citizen will give you some of the thoughts, reflections and highlights of the event, shared by fellow faith pioneers who were there. It's a taste of what happens when progressive and forwarding looking Christians come together.
At these events some of the brightest and most provocative religious thinkers in the United States come together to offer insightful treatment of difficult and sometimes controversial subjects in unique 21-minute talks. These talks angle on the future of faith in America while the conference provides the opportunity for people of faith to meet and build relationships with others from different backgrounds.

Defending Conservative values and the US Constitution
Once again President Obama shows his true nature. Recently, at a prayer breakfast he all but outright defended Islam over Christianity by referencing The Crusades, slavery in America and Jim Crow Laws. For Obama to be regarded as such a "road scholar", he clearly stuck his foot in mouth this time. Moreover, he offended the faith of the overwhelming majority of americans- christianity. We're going to disect his classless remarks and set the record straight for those americans who probably didn't know what he was referring to with his speech?

Jesus Christ told His apostles to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in His name. Most people who are familiar with the Bible realize that those apostles zealously embarked on that mission. Their converts were first called Christians in the city of Antioch (Acts 11:26). Over the centuries, vast numbers of people were born or converted into what eventually became the hundreds of denominations known collectively as “Christianity”—to the point that it became and still remains one of the world’s most popular and dominant religions.

ABOUT THE HOST: Life After Christianity 101 was created by radio host Empress T'Malkia Zuri in 2012 on her own blogtalk network "Dynasty Network 1382." She began her radio career on a Christian radio station in Phoenix, AZ KXXT 1010. After refusing to "dumb down" her topics, a mutual agreement was met and Empress T was released from the contract after refusing to conform to their request.
Empress T is a recovering Christian who is 36 months clean after 44 years of indoctrination, and celebrates her sobriety date on Dec. 27th. She has devoted much of her time to sharing what she has learned about the mental affects of Christianity in the Black Family. She is a former National licensed Minister under one of the largest churches in the U.S, a former Armour Bearer to 2 pastors and a bishop, and a former Sunday School and bible teacher. Empress T is also entering her second year (in June) as a student at the University of Metaphysics in Arizona and is obtaining a degree in Transpersonal Psychology.
Empress T's main objective is "NOT to CONVERT our people, but to PROVOKE our people to think and study for themselves". Remember....Her tagline is REVERSING THE CURSE OF RELIGION, and her main point is to remind all who tune in that YOU ARE THE VERY GOD YOU ARE SEEKING.
Who can forget the targeting of conservatives and Christian non-profits by the IRS? That Scandal was/and still is political profiling by the Left. A look at that, plus Sharon is joined by author and fellow radio talk show host and author of The Criminalization of Christianity and founder of Truth2Action, Janet Folger-Porter, to talk about the increase of religious persecution happening in the United States today. The President used his warped version of the Crusades to bash Christians.
He also blamed slavery and Jim Crow laws on Christians?
“Humanity has been grappling with these questions throughout human history. Unless we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place.Remember that during the Crusades and Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. And our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”
Slavery ended here in 1865, but is still ongoing in the Muslim world.
