Join us tonight as we interview Bachir Mihoubi, IFA member and founder, managing director of FranCounsel Group, LLLC, and Jay Perron, Vice President Government Affairs and Public Policy for the International Franchise Association. The definition of “state of affairs” is, “the general state of things; the combination of circumstances at a given time; situation or set of circumstances (thefreedictionary.com 2013). I said that to say this, the sta...te of affairs of the church and world is not in collaboration with the state of the kingdom of God. The evidence of this disagreement can be seen in the misrepresenting of the scriptures as in Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Contrary to God's government, the earthly government is not a representation of the reign of God. It is a representation of when agenda, power, and pride collide creating a movement of man, not a move of God, which is the state of the church of this world. God is exposing the state of affairs of the church by showing the misrepresentation, greed, pride, and hypocrisy of the church of this world. That can only be seen if you are not blinded by the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). Those blinded by the god of this world will see the church as business as usual seeing nothing wrong with the entertainment, power hungriness, and agenda of a business ran church. The church was never meant to be run like a business. The office of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers and bishops was never a call for ownership of the church, which belongs to Jesus. They were meant to perfect the saints, not rule over them, work the ministry, not fleece the flock, and edify the body of Christ UNTIL. We often leave out the “until” in Ephesians 4:11-16. Being a good businessman do not make you a good pastor, bishop, apostle etc., etc.
