    Strength Training: Exercise Your Faith

    in Lifestyle

It's Fitness Friday on Your Blueprint for Life! This week Linda talked discussed how our weaknesses are opportunities for God to show Himself strong. She also encouraged us that our weaknesses are opportunities of conditioning; meaning, it's a time that God weakens our response to certain stimuli. We finish out the week with understanding how we are to position ourselves as we allow God to build us up and become resilient. Utilizing exercise as our reference, Linda will help us look at proper positioning. Some of the exercises discussed will be:

    push ups
    pull ups

But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you
[sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength
and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and [a]show themselves most effective
in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities,
that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may [b]pitch a tent over and
dwell) upon me!  2 Corinthians 12:9 AMP

Don Mann Frogman Charities Seal Team Six Giving and exercise are not an option

    in Motivation

    What is your Why?
    Letter from Don Mann

There are a number of very personal reasons why I created Frogman Charities, Inc.:
As a retired Navy SEAL I have a very clear understanding of the many hardships and sacrifices that our military and their families make and live with on a daily basis. The men and woman in uniform are often deployed in harm’s way or away from home training for combat, sometimes up to 300 days a year.  It is far too often that our troops return home injured and/or do not make it home alive. The only people who truly appreciate the magnitude of these sacrifices are the men and women in uniform and their families. Living on a military salary generally meets the needs of the military family but when tragedy strikes, these families require much more than they receive.

Frogman Charities’ Objective is to raise over one million dollars for select military and veteran charities per year.. You can be a part of this Seal team members effort.

Pitch exercise: A Green Lantern Movie

    in Writing

With today's episode I'll be undertaking the exercise of developing a pitch for a Green Lantern movie.  I'll try to keep everything I say in broad strokes but the goal will be to take this entire franchise apart and put the whole thing back together with only the truly essential parts.

While I liked parts of the Ryan Reynolds movie more than many other people did, I'll admit Hal and the Corps deserve a better big screen representation. This is what I would it to be.

The What If Show featuring Shauna Teaken | Energy Exercise Class

    in Self Help

Who would’ve thought that relaxing & chilling out could change your body shape, your vitality, your finances and your relationships, then lead to even more relaxation and pleasure?
After many years of teaching exercise class, relaxation and meditation, Shauna Teaken, using the tools of Access Consciousness has developed an “Energy Exercise Class’ where a different kind of muscle (that for many of us has become atrophied from lack of use) is put to use.

Flexing your energy ‘muscles’ to allows you to dynamically use energy flows to create your body, relationships, work and finances. It’s like taking an Energy Exercise Class to tone up, rejuvenate and reshape your “ creation muscles.”

A first it seems a little bit like a guided relaxation or meditation. Anyone can do it, and it’s not hard. You don’t have to be a meditator. If you have ‘busy brain’ then this is made for you!

The energies available to us and our bodies are the same timeless, infinite and joyous energy of the earth, trees, oceans and animals. It’s all around and through us.
With an Energy Exercise Class, you can be relaxing or even sleeping while you totally change your life.without reference to diet, age or other limitations, and the more you listen, the deeper the transformation.

    Healthy Living IT WORKS!!!

    in Weight Loss

The month of August we are discussing various forms of health and how to care for yourself and or others. When you think of health you think of eating right and exercise. Health is the caring for your overall being mind, body and spirit! One way to achieving that level of healthy Zen we have to learn about different aspects of healthy eating and exercising regularly, finding time for meditation and/or prayer regularly, and finding other ways to improve your physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

We start the month off with a two for one special! Tonight we kickoff the conversation of health with Health and Entrepreneurship.  I have a special guest, Michelle Boyd, an independent Distributor for IT WORKS. She is here to discuss health, the IT Works system, its products, and how she can help you.  It’s time that we start getting ourselves mentally and physically fit.

  • Doing the impossible, Pitch exercise: A Youngblood TV show.

    in Writing

One of the most reviled comics of one of the most reviled periods of comics, Rob Liefeld's Youngblood is an example of everything that was wrong with that era of comics.  But what it lacked in execution it made up for in high concept, a government funded team of celebrity superheroes with varying degrees of honor and idealism vs. cynicism and corruption is actually a concept that could really work in better hands.

Today Joe Diesel and I will discuss how it could work. We'll be attempting to polish the proverbial turd and talk through what would make for a good Youngblood series for Netflix or HBO.
