The adrenal glands are essential for multiple functions in your body, such as maintaining blood pressure and cardiovascular levels, slowing the immune system's inflammatory response, and most importantly handling your body's response to stress.
When adrenal glands begin to fatigue, the fight-or-flight reaction kicks in. When your body become overstressed, adrenal levels and cortisol hormones skyrocket. Pretty soon you've got adrenal fatigue. Over time this may lead to depression, exhaustion and weight gain.
Today's special guest, renowned naturopathic physician Dr. Holly Lucille says, "Busy modern life is full of stress. Supporting and nourishing the adrenal glands is essential."

The difference between adrenal disorder and adrenal disease
The stages of adrenal disorder
Why getting tested for adrenal fatigue is not performed in a standard MD's office

The adrenals are two almond sized glands which sit on the top of the kidneys. Although they look pretty innocuous they control a great deal of vital hormone production in our body; a hormone which controls our blood pressure; hormones which help control our glucose levels; "stress" hormones; and reproductive hormones. If one lives a life whereby one "burns out" ones adrenal, problems can occur throughout the body. The AIMS physicians will be analyzing the frequent condition called "adrenal fatigue".
