Her acclaimed book, Distracted: The Erosion of Attention and the Coming Dark Age, jumpstarted our global conversation on the steep costs of fragmenting our attention. Patrick Henry's LIBERTY OR DEATH Speech read by Keith, aka elijah1757
In my opininion, this is the greatest speech ever written by a mortal. I hope the sound holds out as I have been experiencing difficulty lately.
NO man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope that it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen, if .... cont.
If you are aware of the increased persecution and targeting of individuals in society by this organized network of criminal gang stalkers, I hope you'll listen in and share this information with others.

The Young Media Critics…voices of the future made a few changes in the program. They will kick off the 2014-2015 season talking about media, literacy, digital messages and more with the Young Media Co-hosts.
Our show is based on “The Inquiry Process/ Free your Mind/Express Your View”-components of media literacy and media education as defined by The Center on Media Literacy (www.medialit.org ). It is not a show to bash the media.
The Young Media Critics Co -Host will share with the listeners how their lives are influenced by the media messages that surround them every day.
Join the Young Media Critics...voices of the future as they continue to learn the Language of Persuasion, Part 2. Learning the language of persuasion is an important media literacy skill. Once you know how media messages try to persuade you to believe or do something, you’ll be better able to make your own decisions.
Advertising is the easiest starting point: most ads are relatively simple in structure, easily available, and in their original format. Media literacy beginners are encouraged to learn the language of persuasion by examining ads. Keep in mind that many media messages, such as television commercials, use several techniques simultaneously. Others selectively employ one or two.
The Young Media Critics will share the next group of techniques classified as intermediate: The Big Lie, Charisma, Euphemism, Flattery, Name Calling, Slippery Slope just to name a few.
Tune in Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 5 pm. (EST) and catch up on The Language of Persuasion!

Join Anna Banguilan as she talks with Philip Young, PhD. about energy, Astrology, Tarot and more!
Philip bought his first tarot deck, the Mythic Tarot, in 1989, the summer after he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History; I was 21. That version of the Mythic Tarot came with a fantastic workbook, which he completed over the course of the summer and into the fall. "I was deciding what my next step would be: either find full-time employment or return to school to start on a Masters degree in either History or English. In January of 1990 I was accepted into the English graduate program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and started my six year journey to the completion of my PhD. During that time – while attending graduate classes, teaching undergraduate courses, and bar tending – I continued to study and use the tarot for myself and my friends. In 1992 I took my first payment for a reading and have been reading professionally since then."
