I decided to do something different w/ the show that I haven't done since I started this project a couple years back. Usually around this time of year, there's not a whole lot of sports going on; mainly baseball, soccer, & golf. That being said, I wanted to take the opportunity to do some entertaining topics that'll open the show up & expand things. So w/ this particular topic in mind, just what IS your favorite sports film or films of all-time? It could be anything. It could be an actual movie, documentary, TV show, or even commercial. Call in Wednesday night @ 6pm to voice your thoughts & answers. This is one of many different topics broadcasted on the show for the duration of the summer. We're on air for 60 minutes in another podcast of "The Rocket Sports Breakdown". Rocket Nation, get ready for a power trip.
Good evening fellow fright fans and freakazoids - join us for another fright filled episode where we will be counting down our top 20 Essential 80s Horror Films! These films will represent the overall style and finesse of the decade that brought us leg warmers, crimped hair, loud colors, rainbow make up, synth scores, classic effects, and so much more. Will your favorite make our list? Listen in and find out!
Screenplayground Podcast kicks off with President/Head Reader Thomas Cunningham and Director Patrick Guera discussing getting experience working with short films, getting a feel for working with directors, actors and learning how your script translates to screen.
I don’t know about you, but there are some actors and actresses that just catch your eye. You find yourself following them through the films they have graced over their careers. Tonight we discuss some our favorites, and we hope you’ll come to embrace them too…
Sure, it was the time of big hair, glam bands ... and SAVED BY THE BELL's "Screech"! But also a decade where legendary "old school" film makers such as John Huston, Billy Wilder and Stanley Kubrick were still cranking out popular entertainment alongside a new generation of "movie brats" named Scorcese, Spielberg, Kasdan and a young up-and-comer called Cameron. Never before in the history of cinema had classic technique and new tech merged to such a creative degree - producing a murderer's row line up of films which still influence (and are still being imitated and remade by) the industry today. In this special edition of THE GRINDHOUSE, Craig & Jim review the current CAPT. AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and NOAH; then welcome screenwriters Josh Coffman and Neil Gaughan to break down THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, TOP GUN, 48HRS and more iconic bad-assed 1980s era classics. Fire up the Walkman, pop in a VHS tape, crack open a brewski and join the fun!
