On this week’s edition of Scottscope Talk Radio, the roundtable discusses the 30th anniversary of The Last Dragon! Is it a perennial classic?  Is it too campy for its own good?  Can Sho'nuff be considered one of the greatest screen villains of the 1980’s?  Can it be considered of the seminal Hip-Hop movies of the 1980’s, thus putting it in the same class as Beat Street and Crush Groove?  How closely does it follow the paradigm of Joseph Campbell’s monomyth aka the hero’s journey?  Should the film be remade?  Would a remake resonate with today’s audiences?  Should it retain the same sense of humor as the original?

We’ll also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Tupac’s third album, Me Against The World.  Is it his single greatest work?  Is it his most honest and heartfelt collection of songs?  How does it enhance his legacy?  Did it offer a glimpse of how his career might’ve have turned out had he not signed to Death Row?  Would it have turned out differently had Tupac not been ambushed at Quad Studios?  Was it at all influenced by Tupac’s animosity towards the Notorious B.I.G?  Was the beat for “Temptations” originally meant for the Notorious B.I.G?
