No matter where we are on our journey, we are all on the spiritual path toward God. It is God’s intention that all souls return home. Some are further along the path than others.  All sin, hurt and unrighteousness come from an unenlightened minds and hearts.   Hurting people hurt others -they are in a spiritually tortured state so they lash out, out of ignorance.  Peaceful people bestow peace, loving people bestow love, Sometimes people do not have the ability or the awareness to learn the lessons of mutual respect, brotherly love, kindness, self-control and so on.  The practical application of spiritual principles is  vital to living a spiritually conscious life.  One of the most difficult tasks we face as spiritually aware people is the practice s.  of forgivenes

What does it take to truly forgive? There are many theories and methods of practice that we can engage in.  .  Another practice includes seeing our own weakness that is comparable to the one in which our offender is acting out. For instance, if we feel someone has been selfish toward us, we would consciously bring to mind instances where we were acting selfish. This action brings understanding and compassion to the situation . 

 This spiritual principle is related to another, a very advanced form of thought which says,  we will only attract what we need to learn. If you are attracting unkindness, it is because you need to look at and heal the unkind parts of yourself.  So when you forgive another, you are actually also forgivingpart of yourself.
