"On The Alabama Prison Riot"

The Alabama prison, Hinton Max, exploded and there's been little focus on the cause of the prisoners reaction by the corporate media. Its seen as an isolated incident within the state of Alabama let alone throughout the country. When incidents like this happen we're trained to look at it as the result of individual failures. Alabama is at fault, or the unruly "inmates" are at fault; or there were authoritarian staff at the prison. When really what's at fault is the system of Mass Incarceration that produces certain responses.
