When you're raised in the church, you have the luxury--yes, luxury--of being forced to live as believers. Parents go over their children's walk with a fine toothed comb. You give them money for offering, five then to sing in the choir, have them stand up for testimony service. Then, they graduate from high school or turn eighteen. Now the, the temptations of the world beckon, and like moths to flames they go. The School of Hard Knocks--that period between eighteen and somewhere between 24 and 30 years old--is where the rubber of a child's faith hits the road of life. Usually, at the end of the school term, they come limping back home to the church, with spouses and children in tow, never to leave again. The question: how do help prevent them from going in the first place? Raising Godly Children in an Ungodly World: this Sunday, in The Barbershop!!!
