Back in March 2014 I did another show dealing with using Horses to help treat veterans with a variety of issues. Somehow I came across the Boots and Hooves website and again my interest was piqued and so I contacted Gary Kempiak 

one of the three Founders,  now we have a show.

Our Mission

The mission of this new program is to support all military personal, regardless of branch, and veterans in pinpointing many different social, emotional, and personal attributes in order to sail through life and establish well-being, tolerance, and solidarity. Boots & Hooves was formed to provide healing and establish a positive view of the future.

Boots & Hooves is a non-profit organization (pending) that focuses on Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) partnered with military personnel. This program was designed to promote overall wellbeing and establish an improved understanding of health, teamwork, and wellness.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is considered experiential in nature; this means that each person who goes through this program takes away something different. They learn what works for their life and the lives of their family. Through EAP research, many benefits have been noted including, but not limited to, providing a format in dealing with and controlling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
