My favorite tactic in mid to late rounds is to look for players whose current ADP I believe that they can comfortably hit without any injuries or role changes opening up the way for them. Some of the type of players who meet these criteria each year include

• •    Third down RB and Slot WR such as Chris Thompson or Cooper Kupp last year.
• •    Overlooked #2 WR such as Marvin Jones, Devin Funchess or Mohammed Sanu last year.
• •    Role RB like Rex Burkhead last year who through injury or inefficiency could get a look.
• •    Home run hitter type WR such as Will Fuller or Kenny Stills last year.
• •    Rookies who are not expected to start year one but should have a role.
