Solving Problems in Juvenile Detention

Dr. Greene's guest on today's program was Jeff Morin, Acting Superintendent at Mountain View Youth Development Center, a juvenile detention facility in Charleston, Maine.  Led by people like Jeff, there have been many positive changes at Mountain View...changes in how the challenges of incarcerated youth are understood, in perceptions about what these kids need, and in how they're treated.  The State of Maine has led the charge for the enlightened care of incarcerated youth, and on this program you'll hear about how they did it.  (Hint:  it wasn't easy or fast!)  This program is sponsored by Lives in the Balance (www.livesinthebalance.org).
