The road to Super Bowl 50 continues, but now we know the participants. In the AFC contest, Peyton Manning once again overcomes Tom Brady for the rights to go to the big dance. If this really was the final chapter between these two icons, what a finish it was...especially if you're a Broncos fan. The defense played fantastic & Manning made some good throws. But I've said it before & I'll say it again. Kickers are paid to do two things: make field goals & make extra points...especially if they're chip shots. Patriots fans have a right to be ticked off. But there were some questionable play calls down the stretch & Bill Belicheck has to accept the blame for this one. In the NFC, the Panthers came, saw, & conquered. Cam Newton is punching his ticket for his first career Super Bowl trip in Santa Clara. The Cardinals were dominated from start to finish. Carson Palmer's bad finger made have been more painful than nay of us realize. His play may have indicated that. But nonetheless, unlike last the previos week, the Panthers did NOT take their foot off the gas. For the first time, the big bowl will be decided between two former #1 overall picks (Manning 1998, Newton 2011). Join Rocket Monday evening @ a special time, 11pm as he recaps Sunday's games & looks ahead a little to Super Bowl 50 in two weeks. Rocket Nation, get ready for a power trip.
