There may not be a head coach in the NFL that's more fortunate to keep his current job than New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin. It's been 4 years since the team's last Super Bowl win. They haven't been to the playoffs since. I actually thought Coughlin would lose his job after last year. Back in Februray, according to reports, at the combine Coughlin had agreed to a 1-year contract extension that would allow him to be the coach throughout the upcoming 2015 season. So this could be his final stand. He's definitely a hall of famer in my book. Last year the team went a disappointing 6-10 but some of us saw that coming considering the personnel & roster changes that transpired during last year's off-season. Once Victor Cruz went down, their seaosn was pretty much over. But we saw the emergence & coming of rookie wideout Odell Beckham Jr., who  I felt was the best rookie receiver & in the best class of rookie wideouts in draft history. Makes you wonder what he has in store for his sophomore campaign. I've never been a big fan of Eli Manning, but when he has time to throw he can find anybody...sometimes even the players wearing opposite jerseys. He came off a great year, however, with a 30-14 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Assuming this team can stay healthy on both sides, you can bet the Giants will make another run for division supremacy in the NFC East...& maybe another Lombardi trophy. But what's the future looking like for this team? What's going to happen to Jason Pierre-Paul? As of we really have to ask that, but we'll discuss it & a possible Tom Coughlin successor in another installment of "The Rocket Sports Breakdown" Tuesday July 14 @ 10:30am on Blog Talk Radio. Rocket Nation, get ready for a power trip.
