Nathaniel Davis, He is an independent researcher of Black History concentrating on the pre-Civil War hemp culture of the South.  Mr. Davis will discuss how and why the history of hemp was lost. Did you know both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were both promoters of hemp, as noted in their farm diaries spoke of their experiences as hemp farmers? Learn how hemp was one of the major industries for the American Colonies in the Revolutionary War against the British. The American paper industry was born of hemp. The Colonies produced linen, cordage, cloth, canvas, sacks and paper from hemp.. The paper provided writing materials throughout the war, essential for communication as well as the paper for Declaration of Independence to be written on. The major source of labor for the Hemp Industry was free slave labor.  Mr. Davis will discuss who the primary growers and handlers of hemp before and after the Civil War. As well as which two states in US that produced the best quality hemp.  Find out how the word Marijuana was used to cover up this history. Also, hemp was used as medicine up until 1937.

Mr. Davis will provide the evidence and resources during his discussion and he will help provide a reason why the current day legalized Marijuana Business and Industry is rigged to exclude Black People. Join us for this deep analysis and fascinating dialogue with Lezlee and Gagan.
