Julie Anne Schuck is a senior program associate with the National Research Council/National Academy of Sciences and has worked in the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education for over 10 years. She has spent much of that time understanding different fields of study, synthesizing available evidence, and crafting technical reports. She has provided analytical and editorial support for a number of projects and workshops, including STEM education, terrorism prevention, the science of human-system integration, and criminal justice. Currently, she is part of the staff team supporting the NRC committee on the causes and consequences of high rates of incarceration.

Scott Sammler-Michael is the Minister of Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church in Burke, Virginia.
