Guest: Dr. Virginia Abernethy – Virginia Deane Abernethy is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry (Anthropology) at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She is the author of Population Politics and The Vanishing American Dream, among other books. She publishes in both scholarly journals and popular media and was formerly the editor-in-chief of Population and Environment. She holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University, an MBA from Vanderbilt University, and B.A. from Wellesley College.
