  • The Promise of a Coming Kingdom

    in Christianity

“And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever” (Daniel 2:44).
We have seen that Jesus Christ and the apostles preached the gospel—the good news—of the Kingdom of God. But exactly what is that Kingdom? There are many ideas about the Kingdom of God. Some think it is the church. Others believe it is an ethereal concept that resides in the hearts of Christians. Some think it is the collective good of humanity. What does the Bible say?

  • Kerrian Johnson A woman who worships God with no limitations

    in Christianity

Greetings to all and blessings from our hearts to your's. A true and distinguished writer. Kerrian Johnson is classified as a genuine warrior and worshiper; one who worships God without limitations. Her writing ability is so unique that there is no way of overlooking her style, passion and flavor. She is recognized internationally for hits such as Cross Over Blessings, Look At Me Now, Holy Ghost Anointing and the Sun Will Shine Again just to name a few. The Sun Will Shine Again was first featured on one of Judith Gayle’s albums entitled “The Sun Shines Again”. Her heartfelt music is described as soulful and deep, a true testament to a ministry birthed out of a miraculous triumph, overcoming abandonment, poverty, rape, sexual molestation and a mental breakdown. As both mother and child’s lives were in danger, Kerrian’s mother fled from St. Ann to Clarendon where she gave birth to her in a district call Andrew Hill. However, at around the age of three (3) years old her mother left her with a lady and returned to St. Ann to care for her mother who was badly ill. Throughout her childhood, Kerrian suffered countless incidents of sexual molestations and abuse. She endured abuse from almost every male that was living at the house along with hard labour of carrying numerous trips of water, load from field to market truck. They move from place to place and at one time she was living in Portland Cottage where she would not attend school regularly but instead stay home to pack coal skill harvest the coal push it on hand cart from Portland Cottage to Rocky Point via Lionel Town for sale. A dumped that once was at the Mineral Heights round about is where Kerrian would get her daily meal. They drifted back to Orange Hill in Clarendon and she then got back the opportunity to attend the Long Look All Age Schools.

  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ: Salvation in the Kingdom

    in Christianity

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes . . .” (Romans 1:16).
We have seen that Jesus Christ preached “the gospel of the Kingdom” and that He sent His disciples out to proclaim His message before His crucifixion. However, after Christ’s death and resurrection, another emphasis appeared in the message preached by the apostles, one that had not been possible before Christ’s death— Jesus Christ had paid the penalty for human sins! In doing so, He had become the Savior of all who would accept His sacrifice and live the Christian life.

  • The Promise of Life After Death

    in Christianity

In the first chapter we dealt with God’s gift of physical life. In the second chapter we discussed death itself. We have learned that we are mortal; life is temporary. Now we will focus on what happens after death. Even though our bodies are temporary, subject to decay and death, God has planned for us much more than just this limited, physical existence. Thousands of years ago the patriarch Job asked the same question we ask ourselves: “If a man dies, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14). He went on to answer the question in stating to God: “All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee” (verses 14-15, KJV). After death a person is unconscious, waiting for God to call him from the grave and restore him to life. What does the Bible say about the remarkable phenomenon of restoration to life?
