Join Sandra Brown MA and Jennifer Young LMHC as they interview the author of "A Dance with the Devil"  Barbara Bentley.  Barbara Bentley, raised in a middle-class blue collar town, thought she had met the man of her dreams.  Instead she found that she had become a victim…first by a psychopath who tried to murder her and…second, by the divorce laws of California.  Barbara shares her story of escaping attempted murder and changing the divorce law of California in her memoir A DANCE WITH THE DEVIL: A TRUE STORY OF MARRIAGE TO A PYSCHOPATH.  She is a summa cum laude university graduate whose story has been featured on Dateline NBC, Lifetime TV’s Final Justice, Canadian VIVA network’s show “The Devil You Know,”, and Investigation Discovery’s “Who the Bleep Did I Marry.”  Her radio appearances include Positive Living with Patricia Raskin, True Facts with Jon Leiberman, the Barbara Davitt Show, Free Women Now hosted by Betty Jean, and the Seattle show Chat with Women.  Barbara is a motivational speaker who has appeared before such diverse organizations as the American Association of University Women, Soroptimists, the International Women’s Writing Guild, and St. Mary’s University.  The Washington Post included her book as one of the five books to read to understand psychopaths.  Barbara also received the Paul H. Chapman Award for her influential efforts to make a positive difference in the civil judicial arena in the United States.
