Nearly three years ago, California native Jimmie Reign- a songwriter of hits never heard, singer of songs then only in her mind, embarked on a journey into the Bay Area's music scene. Quickly gaining a fan base by opening shows for well known artists (Goapele, Jagged Edge, Latoya London, Eric Roberson), her reputation became that of a young woman who was all about business on stage- a "Go Girl". Her mixtape "Go Girl" hosted by Big Von of 106 KMEL and sponsored by Singersroom.com and Right On! Magazine, quickly became a fan favorite and to this day continues to be downloaded. Now with a more mature sound and way of thinking, Jimmie wants to expand from the Bay Area to beyond. Beginning the metamorphosis into a "Pretty Girl" for Jimmie has a special meaning. "I was broken for a very long time which resulted in me doing a lot of things that were unhealthy emotionally".
