Host Silvia Casabianca interviews Dee Martin, a certified kinesiology instructor with the Touch for Health Association. She has been a professional kinesiology practioner (Level IV) for 20 years. Has traveled throughout the U.S. teaching both professional bodyworkers as well as laypeople the simple but effective methods of Touch for Health to help bring the body back to its natural balance.

Dee explains the origin of Touch for Health, a modality introduced by John Thie, DC that combines applied kinesiology and acupressure. Thie believed that "the American medical system is the leading cause of death and injury in the United States," citing the millions of people who unnecessarily take antibiotics, are hospitalized or are the subject of medical and surgical procedures. Thie recognized that his methods were not a panacea for all health problems and were not intended to keep people away from doctors, drugs or surgery when needed. But he saw those methods as a way to prevent needless interventions and lower healthcare costs.

Dee's workshops are both stimulating and exciting. “I have been a massage therapist for nearly 30 years and have found kinesiology techniques to be the best tools I have to treat the cause, not the symptom,“ said Dee.
