Join us as we talk to both Dennis Cieri (NYCIFF) and Ava Leigh Stewart ( SIFF) about Film and the Indie Film fest in NYC. Ava Leigh Stewart is a director, writer, producer, and artist. She cut her teeth at CNN, climbing the ranks of news production, until 2005.  She founded Art West Film, a full service production company that specializes in film, television, and new media.   She is one of the founders of the Southeastern International Film Festival, which promotes an independent distribution model to the Southeastern United States.   Dennis Cieri is the executive director of the New York Indie Film Festival, which features works of independent filmmakers from around the world. His latest work includes a series about New York’s booming brewery and street cart food business, and The End of Fair Trade, an investigative documentary of dynamic pricing and customers’ perceived ability to pay—a system in which internet algorithms store all aspects of your life to induce you to pay the highest prices for goods and services.
