Kris Jenkins buried a three-point shot as time expired to help the Villanova Wildcats win their second National Championship. 31 years ago, the Villanova Wildcats were the tournaments' Cinderella team. Rollie Massimino and the eigth seeded Wildcats took down mighty Georgetown 66-64.

Villamova held a 10 point lead with about five minutes left in the game. The North Carolina Tar Heels kept fighting and clawing their way back into the game. Down by three, Marcus Paige completed a circus three-pointer to tie the game at 74, with 4.7 seconds left. Jay Wright called "Nova" a play that this team runs in their sleep. Ryan Arcidiacono received the ball and sprinted down court and dropped the ball back to Jenkins and the world watched the ball fall through the twine.
