As the dust from the Super Bowl settles it is time to look forward to NFL free agency. Teams will make business moves to make room under the salary cap, while other teams will open up their checkbooks to sign a playmaker. Other teams will linger around free agency and see if they can find value in a veteran player that could be the missing piece for them to make a run a the Lombardi Trophy.

The Chicago Bears and Matt Forte will be parting ways and their are a number of teams that could use the services of a multi-purpose back. Forte would be a great fit in the Green Bay offense. Eddie Lacy is a big bruising back but was banged up for much of the 2015 season. James Starks filled in admirably at times and could warrant a bigger contract in free agency. Forte would be an upgrade from Starks with his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. Ted Thompson needs to make a hard push for Forte when free agency opens and not linger in the background hoping that he knocks on the door. Forte will have a number of suitors and may not take his time to decide wear he will be playing football, in 2016.

The NBA had its annual All-Star game, and attracted 7.6 million viewers. The NBA All-Star game has no resemblence of defense as the West defeated the East 196-173. Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder was named the games MVP. Did you tune in to watch the game? Call the show and share your thoughts.
