The hype turned out to be better than the game. This was only the fourth time, in NFL history, that teams with 6-0 or better records faced off. Both the Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos entered the game 6-0. The Broncos dominated the Packers enroute to a 29-10 victory. The Packers had cut the lead to 7 after a Mason Crosby field goal, but that was as close as they were going to get. Denver dominated the trenches on both sides of the ball. This resulted in outgaining the Packers 500-140 in total yards. C.J. Anderson rushed for 101 yards, and Peyton Manning passed for 340 yards. Demarius Thomas was the primary target hauling in eight passes for 168 yards. The dominating Bronco defense even provided some points recording a safety.
